constantly in pain

Jul 09, 2019 7:06 PM

I feel like all I do is complain about pain in a new spot when I go to the doctors. I have been diagnosed with arthritis in my toes of all places, I also have scoliosis, degenerative and bulging discs. I go for decompression at the chiropractor and it seems to be helping some but I still can't walk far without pain in my lower back and now with the pain in my toes it makes walking even harder. I do suffer from depression and anxiety and i feel like they think I am a drug seaker. I have also started nerve blocks for my back hoping that helps. Does anyone else deal with discrimination (because I have mental health issues) I am trying what ever my doctor suggests without pain killers but I'm not sure if its working but i still feel alone with my pain

Sadandalone, have you tried professionally made shoe orthotic inserts? Years ago I had a broken sesamoid bone removed (doc's recommendation), behind the R-big toe. It was a huge mistake because not only has it added to my imbalance issues, it's caused pain in the rest of my foot due to change in pressure while walking and standing; it changed my whole gait. I've been wearing professionally molded (by having a computerized graph made of my feet) orthotic inserts and it helps with both foot pain and the imbalance. My orthopedist ordered it through a company out of California called Foot Solutions. Before I learned about them I tried various types of sneakers and casual shoes with thick padded support; I even bought diabetic shoes. I also wear wide shoes to allow for daily swelling I get. The arthritis in your feet is going to be a major pain contributor to the foot pain, and can contribute to your back pain. I have bad spinal problems and without good support shoes my back hurts worse. I have to wear flats instead of heels, and flip-flops are out of the question anymore, as is going barefooted. Check out different shoes and see if there are orthotic providers available. Hugs love & prayers your injections kick in for good relief, and a restful weekend! 🙂❤🙏🌼

I wish I could remember specific brands I've tried...stupid brain fog! I think Propet is one of my casual shoes. If I can remember the others I'll let you know. Check under "diabetic shoes" & "comfort sneakers" on Amazon.
