Cough it up

Feb 12, 2016 2:38 PM

For two weeks now I've had a cough, not all the time but irritating you know. Beginning of week this got worse, stopping me getting any sleep. Saw Dr yesterday and he just said viral infection of bronchial tubes, inhale steam and not much else. Today omg I am exhausted from coughing. It's non stop, I've been in Halling steam with albus oil. All my body hurts, my face is breaking out in boils and I feel terrible as we were going to a valentine meal on Saturday. Of course this is cancelled. 😷

If you are coughing so hard you're having bronchospasms, you need Tessalon Pearls. They will help a lot! 🙂🙏💕🌼

Sounds like bronchitis... With the cough, don't hesitate to go to the ER for sure, get chest X-ray just in case! Primary docs can be wrong.

I agree with Terri and Flappsy!! Also, I've had pneumonia and bronchitis MANY times and have had both dry and productive coughs. Those "Pearls" really DO help.. Feel better. {{{Hugs}}}💕🙏🏻🌻

I would be concerned about the boils. Zits maybe not but if you are have large sores that are popping open or that are weeping, that is not a good sign. Sorry if I am understanding you wrong. It just sounds concerning. So does the constant coughing. I would be checked for pneumonia as suggested.

Ty guys I couldn't stop this morning again and coughed up white mucus (sorry) . What are these pearls? ??

They are just like gel caps that are filled with a cough suppressant. Sorry you are having a hard time. Hope you get relief soon.

Try Mucinex-DM since you are coughing up mucous. Delsym works pretty good at night. Hugs & prayers you'll get better soon! 🙂💕🙏🌼

No tessalin.pearls are not to be taken it you have a productive cough, okay. Muccinex is the right way to handle this like Flappy said. Please increase your fluids, to help thin the mucus and help expectorate the mucus... Never ever take Tessalin Pearls for a wet productive cough.. If this lingers on , you might need to see your doctor..to make sure antibiotics aren't needed.

My doc gave me the Tessalon Pearls for when I have a dry bronchospasm type cough. I ideally cough so hard and so much I can't catch my breath for several minutes. It's scared my family several times. I'm grasping for breath while coughing uncontrollably and tears are streaming down my cheeks. Not a fun experience for me or bystanders!. Tessalon Pearls are the only thing that helps them. 🙂💕🙏🌼

That is what my doctor gave me the pearls for.. I didn't realize that you had a productive cough. I had pneumonia but was not bringing anything up. Fluids are really good at thinning the mucus as Terri said. Warm tea (no dairy as that creates more mucus) with some lemon and a light honey or agave. You can also use steam over the sink and a towel over your head. I've done that as well to loosen things up. I always found I could breathe better at that time in a hot shower (again, the steam). I hope you get to clearing that up. You may need to be on a course of antibiotic if it doesn't let up. Take care of yourself, you don't want to damage your lungs. Sending {{Hugs}} and prayers that you feel better soon. 💕🙏🏻🌻

HAre your sinuses super clogged? I have year-round sinus infections, so cold cause the white/yellow/green mucus. I have a lot of things for it...tons of water, about a half glass per half hour if I'm awake, using salt/lemon water, Nettie Pot, Benedryl, Delsym cough syrup, hot baths (or showers), and other things I'm forgetting.
