Had one of the worst pain experience ever yesterday night. I woke up in the middle of the night from excruciating pain in my right rib just under my breast. The "normal" chronic pain was way worse than usual and on top of that excruciating pain waves kept coming. The waves of pain were so intense that my whole body was cramping. Luckily the cramping stopped so I was able to fall asleep again after a while.
Have anyone else experienced cramping from the pain?
I’ve had them to my upper back, lower back, inside my thighs ( worst) toes/feet and back of calves. Pretty disabling. You can do nothing but grin and bare. I find taking a towel and wetting it and wringing it out. Place it in the microwave for 30 seconds o one minute ( very hot be careful). I then wrap it around my leg. It helps relax the muscle. Must be careful it’s not to hot or it can burn you.
i might benifit from a cane when my right leg act up. yuh i see tha resemblance in pics too. i like to use tha electric buggies when shoppin to reduce pain. an i get to see all tha bottom shelf stuff i aint never noticed!!! 🤪. lol
Been there done that lol 😂 you acquire a new perspective when you actually see what’s on those lower shelves. Lol weaned myself from the electric carts. Want to use my legs for as long as possible. I’ve learned to break anything I do into smaller tasks. It’s difficult when you have to accept your limits but in the end it pays to be honest with yourself and others.
I get back spasms for lack of a better word. I do get cramping in my foot down into my toes which is unbearable. It happened once walking home, I literally sat on the floor crying in pain for what felt like an eternity waiting for it to settle. People just walked around me. Maybe see your Dr if it keeps happening. Good luck Hayley x
I got those kind of muscle spasms in my feeT kew2012 when I was 12 years old and still get them. They are the pits! Juliauusitalso, most the time I’ll get them in one part of my body ( Thank God) . Occasionally both legs will spasm. I’ve tried all kind of variations in meds/supplements but nothing quite does the trick in stopping them. I have Peripheral Neuropathy so it goes hand in hand. I feel for you and any of us who have them. Excruciating 😖
@Painwarriror It's the first time it happened to me and I really hope it doesn't happen again. I get muscle spasms sometimes too but this time the pain in my ribs affected my whole body. Thankfully it didn't last that very long 👍
Don’t fight it. It will only make your muscles more tense and the pain more severe. If you have someone to help you put on very warm compresses ( moist hot towel) around let’s say your leg. Wrap a garbage bag over the hot towel tape. Let it on 15 minutes take off( just a suggestion) . Others heating pad. Very gentle massage. Deep breathing to get through it.Basically what works for you. Wouldn’t recommend ice though. Heat relaxes muscles where ice can contract muscles. A warm tub would also work or hot tub( supervised). Good luck!
