CRPS flare

Oct 01, 2015 7:09 PM

Today, everyone was packing up to go to lunch and someone dropped their skateboard on me. My leg has been fine for a while, and flaring sucks. Instant nausea, close to tears. I said I was fine, but it was a lie and I think he knew it. I was hoping it had not hit my nerves. No such luck.
It's easy to forget how bad it hurts, or how much effort it takes not to limp. I also had a test today, that I likely failed, being distracted as I was. I got to walk around downtown with one shoe, and have a filed fuzzy sock on the other. Not fun! I put a ton of DMSO on it, but I got hit in a really bad spot, the only lave that hasn't totally healed. At Kay the DMSO kept it in one place. I'm laughing about it right now, but feel miserable.
Yay! CRPS sucks...

I'm sorry you were injured. I hope you'll be better soon. Have you tried to explain your CRPS to classmates? That would have been a good time to educate them, at least to the boy. Others needed to know pain exists in young people to. Just like you've met others here in the community your age, you might open the door for others at school to realize they aren't suffering alone. You might even create a new club! (((Hugs))) for the pain and a prayer for healing quick! 🙏🌼

CRPS really does suck!!! I am so very sorry that you got hurt and I'm sure that the guy that dropped that skateboard on you felt really bad. It's really hard to hide that kind of pain. I hope that you start feeling better soon. Hang in there. Sending you {{{{Hugs}}}} to get you through. I hope that today is a better day for you. 💕🙏🏻🌻
