So, there's a new "outbreak" of salmonella in the U.S. that's from cucumbers. Those with compromised immune systems (us) are more vulnerable. I know I've only recently started eating salads (with cucumbers and carrots) and I've also been having some pretty awful digestive issues. Not sure if I'm being a hypochondriac or not, but please be careful, my friends. If it's one thing we don't need, its another infection on top of what we already have. I just have to say one funny thing: chocolate would have never betrayed me like this! Lol. See? Eating healthy KILLS. Ok, I'm done.
LOL!!! You're absolutely right!! Chocolate would NEVER betray us like that. I don't know if you saw Rosie O'Donnel do her show about here heart attack. Well, she's in the CCU and the doctor brings her cherries and tells her she needs to eat healthy. So, doctor is there with his team of interns and she was 3 days post op. She's eating the cherries and goes into anaphylactic shock. So, she said trying to eat healthy almost killed her in the hospital! The way she told it, I was doubled over laughing. I just made it to the bathroom!! Fun times!! 💕🙏🏻🌻
I made a friend of mine a placuethar said "A balanced diet is chocolate in each hand" . Now back to the current salmonella issue the cucumbers were distributed through most retailers and the all came from Mexico. So if your produce is not from Mexico your good. Otherwise just trash them it is not worth the risk. Kinda makes gardening look good. I garden as much as my body will allow me to. Some days are great some days I cuss both my body for turning against me and the garden for needing my attention. I hate not being able to control my own life. Pain is my enemy!
