Dealing with fatigue

Apr 08, 2018 5:53 AM

Hi. I'm new to posting, I'm 30 years old and have EDS 3, fibromyalgia, POTS, myofascual pain syndrome and all the comorbite that go with it ... including cervical instability, hip inpingement, internal adhesions, unstable knees, shoulders and thumbs.
I am really struggling all of a sudden with chronic fatigue, as in I can't get out of bed until at least 11.30 every morning, I have tried setting alarms, going to bed early, you name it... nothing is working, I actually feel ill with how tired I am. I've always struggled with sleep, but this is a new level of fatigue, anybody had anything similar or any thoughts, advice? I'm struggling as the tiredness is ruining my career, I run my own business and now can't have any meetings unless there in the afternoon! :(

I'm in the same boat. I don't know how to make it better either. I've tried different bedtime routines, sleep aids, and vitamins. Still exhausted. Hope you're okay today. Take care Hayley 🌈

Welcome to the community SammieTerri3. I'm sorry for your list of ailments and you're dealing with fatigue. I have fatigue but I deal with it going to bed early but then I wake early. It's a never ending cycle. I know that you said that doesn't work for you. I'm sorry I don't know what to suggest.

Hello! I’m so sorry you’re dealing with the unbearable fatigue. I know for me it has been my biggest problem and it influences sooooo many other symptoms as well. Unfortunately as of now i haven’t found anything to help me. I know caffeine intake was a big problem according to my doctor, I consume waaayyyy too much caffeine in the pursuit of energy, but unfortunately that just makes fibro symptoms worse. What I’m going to start trying is functional medicine, along with some Tai Chi which is said to work wonders for fibromyalgia symptoms. I’m also interested in trying imagery behavior therapy. A lot of these sound far fetched, but I’ve noticed in my search for relief, natural and alternative medicine has been sooooo much more effective.
