Deep tissue massages

Aug 14, 2016 10:45 PM

Does anyone find deep tissue massages help with their back pain. I get one every 2 weeks and i find it helps so much

Aug 14, 2016 10:58 PM

MarkS78, depends on who is doing the massaging... LOL!!😜😳 No, but seriously, I find that if someone has strong enough hands that they can get deeper under my shoulder blade then they can get some of the knots out. However, while it's being done it's very painful. When it's done it feels a bit better for a while. I think the pain distracts me from other pain.
It's supposed to be good for circulation and keeping the blood flow to the muscle as well as release the spasms. How long does the relief last you?

Lulabel... i highly recommend you get one. It hurts when its getting done, not a painful hurt but a relieving hurt if you know what i mean. Afterwards you will feel great. You should book in and get 1. Guaranteed you will love it

Hi MarkS78,
I suffer from scoliosis that causes me chronic back pain, muscle spasms and migraines. I also get deep tissue massage every 2 weeks. It has definitely helped reduced my pain.

Aug 19, 2016 4:42 AM

Hey Missy ⚘
I had trigger point massage yesterday... marvelous! 🐴

Aug 19, 2016 5:19 AM

Lulabel... how does trigger point massage work?

Aug 19, 2016 5:31 AM

My physio... puts massive finger pressure on my trigger points... to make the muscles release... it feels sore... its like he gets that place in my neck or shoulder... and pokes it until he feels the muscle 'let it go' ...which can take several minutes. I tell him when hes close... or on the money shot! Lol i also have trigger point dry needle therapy from my osteo... does the same but with a longer acupuncture needle to release the muscle... acumatively these therapies last me 2 weeks... but i have only just started! I love it... but at the time its pretty intense! Try it... u may like it! Im a bit savage cos i like good pain that distracts me from my pain monster! Still not had a propper massage yet tho! I think im gonna be a bit vocal tho! Lmao!

Aug 19, 2016 5:32 AM

πŸͺ im sore if i cant even emoji lol 😚

Aug 19, 2016 5:42 AM

I'll get my physio to do the trigger point one next time. Im actually looking forward to it.

Aug 19, 2016 6:08 AM

Its like getting hit on the funnybone when ur in the moment... super satisfying!
Better than when my pain level was so high.... i broke my own finger to take my brain to the more acute pain... omg that was naughty! 🐴

Aug 19, 2016 7:14 AM

Uh-Oh... You're going in the naughty book for that one Missy!!! πŸ˜œπŸ™ƒπŸ˜‰πŸ«
