Dementia, who said...

Feb 05, 2015 9:13 PM

So I spent over 2 hours having cognitive function tests today. First it was telling the meaning of words, then how one word was like another, then creating pictures to match those in the books, etc etc.

The doc talked to me after and said I don't have dementia, but my memory is worse than most people my age (53). He said my brain still recognizes when I made mistakes. Then he added he thought its all fibro-fog & stress & depression from all the medical issues I'm going through. He then offered counseling sessions, free, if I was willing to do them with his students.

I'm not sure he figured out anything I didn't already know. But the stupid tests caused my head to hurt, especially when it got to finding the right piece to go in the missing space. I left with a severe frontal headache!
