Dentist = Flare??

Oct 20, 2017 11:54 AM

So I’ve been going through a majorly bad flare for a while now and just cannot seem to recover. I’ve been having lots of dental work lately and as I was waiting in the dentist’s office yet again today I started wondering if maybe the two are connected?

Has anyone here noticed if going to the dentist has ever sent them into a bad flare?

Thanks in advance for your input!!

Yes 👍 I have like a migraine headache and those can be a real drag. Did you notice any neuropathy flare ups too? I've noticed some real doozies and you can't get up out of the chair that Easily. You are just dizzy and in excruciating pain! My suggestion is to bring some Zantac antacid pills that stop dizziness with you and some Alieve pills with you for after your dental appointment and before the appointment

Definitely dentist causes flares. At least my old dentist did. I found a new dentist whose wife has fibromyalgia. He was very careful and worked around me so I didn’t have to strain. I saw him three times for fillings and such. Zero pain after. Even the injection site was not painful. Look for a gentle dentist. That makes s huge difference. I typically go during a flare because I already feel like crap and when I feel good, I don’t need the dentist to cause a flare. Take Tylenol before you go. That can help too.
