Dentist Visit!

Nov 02, 2017 2:46 PM

I was only diagnosed with Fibro in summer 2016. I needed to go to the dentist and have a little bit of work done on 2 teeth in the very back of my mouth. I was so nervous because not only the thought of keeping my jaw open for the dental work, but my family has this really strange resistance to numbing agents. After finally getting my mouth numb the dentist drilled down my 2 teeth but couldn't get the metal rings around my 2 teeth. So he just kept pushing and jamming them until they both fit. Ugh! Now that everything is filled and I am home, the pain in my jaw and gums hurts, but so does all my muscles in my body. Apparently without even knowing, I tightened my body while he worked on my teeth. Anyone have any thoughts as to how I can get my jaw to feel better? I am already going to take a long epsom salt and lavender bath but that doesn't help my jaw. It is throbbing already. I have just taken 100mg of tramatol, 3 Advil. Do you think a heating pad held on my face would help?

Yes I think heat would help. Maybe a hot washcloth would help.

I will definitely try that. Thank you.

Rotate heat and ice unless one feels better
