Description of the perfect room for chronic pain patients

Jan 03, 2017 5:37 PM

So as I sit here with way to much time on my hands. I'm thinking of all I've gone through a d the things I have or wish I had. When I returned from surgery I was asked if I needed a recliner. The Answer was yes, however, I had no space for a recliner.
So I also started to think of what amenities would make my day easier.
For me it would be an adjustable bed with temperature controls. A recliner with massage and cup holders and a table tray. A separate air conditioning system so that my room can be the temperature I need at the time. Television wifi bathroom with a walk-in shower and aroma therapy.
What would be your perfect room or space.

Oh I love the sound of all of that!
I'd love my room to be at the back of my house with a set of sliding triple glazed doors leading on to a patio area in my garden with a nice long lasting outdoor table and chairs, I'd have a nice big fitted wardrobe with a big shoe rack, draws, hanging space and one door to be a full length mirror. I'd have a matching vanity table, chair and mirror with jewellery space hidden within the mirror (a place to hang necklaces, bracelets and earings).
My bed would adjustable and I'm stealing the temperature controls from you!!! lol
I'd have an en suite bathroom with a walk in shower, a bath fitted with an electric chair to lift me in and our of the bath so I could soak in a bath with Epsom Salts as needed, a heated towel rail and of course a toilet and sink!
I'd have a TV with access to every TV programmes to all movie's off to the side of the room where I'd have a massage recliner with cup holders and a two seater armchair that spins with lots of cushions and a blanket to snuggle up in and cup holders.
I'd also add a tiny little kitchen with a sink and a kettle, a table top fridge and a coffee machine like at a tasimo machine......that's as much as I can think atm πŸ˜‰

Ooooo! Yes on all of the above and heated floors. Padded headboard with lots of pillows. Electric blanket. A super hot tap for instant herbal tea and really cold water, too. Big windows with lots of sunshine. Tray tables and adjustable lamps. Seamless clothes and aloe socks and high thread count sheets.

I would add one of those walk in tubs where you can soak in Epsom salts sitting up. It would also have reeling position. My own space with controlled of the thermostat & remote control fan & lights. Built in light therapy. Yes on the small kitchenette with fridge & icemaker. Lots of cup holders. Wood around all doors & windows a widow seat with large double pained windows.

Lots of pillows & a spoken hot air purifier πŸ€“that's "smokin' hot". Seriously. Surround sound stereo & flat screen mounted on the wall. Two recliner erst for when I have visitors. Both with massage as I would Always let my guest use it if I only had one.

Boy I could go on all day of my dreams. The greatest being I was healthy & needed none of this.

Tamtoad, I'm with you on that. I forgot about the assistant although I think that would make me to lazy and move around as much as I need to. However, to have one on call for when my bad days hit would be awesome.
