Diet =Pain

For years I would tell my niece she was taking the diet thing to extremes. Well, let me tell you someone should have slapped me. I bought the Wahls protocol book and skimmed through it. Several on my support FB page swore by it. So after giving it a try, not fully mind you, but an honest try, I was having less pain. Last week the cravings started. I cheated. I had one donut, one slice pizza with crust, and a helping of noodles. Within 30 mins of the donut, pain and cramps. An hour after the slice, cramps and more pain that had not eased from the donut a few days before. Last night was noodles. Before I could finish, my gut was off the charts, my nerve pain was extreme. Another thing I noticed was that in my surgery site I was getting the puffiness around the spine and cysts area. I will be tossing all those no-nos out. I honestly believe the food manufacturers are out to kill us.

Yep all they care about is money, not people.

I have this book and have shared the info with the group. If I follow (for the most part) I feel less pain and I feel stronger. The Standard American Diet is SAD! We need to eat clean and see for yourself. The difference of pain being a 7 or above verses a 3-6 most of the day, I will take that. Also it is much easier if you get a friend or two together and cook huge meals and freeze them so you can eat healthy on days that you feel like hell. My freezer is full of main courses, frozen in mason jars. Cuts way down on guilt when I cannot cook a proper meal. I am Italian I do not /cannot cook a small amount of anything. Give it a try there are really lots of choices. The Wahls Protocol group have lots of support on their Facebook pages.

Oh how this time of year calls for pumpkin fudge, and I can't find a recipe without dairy or white sugar, so I will be experimenting with raw sugar, and coconut mild, .One of the ladies on our support page has started u tubing her meals etc. And I have watched a few, but there are foods I will never let cross my lips again. My niece is my go to person for questions, the young teaching the old. But just buying the non-gmo, gluten free, organic is costly, but some of the foods have much better flavor. And I am remembering that each food item has its own flavor not just spice and sauce. I am enjoying the clean eating, but those craving is the killer.
