Dizziness

Jan 13, 2017 10:00 PM

Does anyone ever get dizzy? I've been really dizzy and weak for a few days now. I'm now nauseous and just feeling broken. As if the constant pain wasn't enough .

Sounds like you have vertigo on top of everything else.

It could be a symptom of the meds you're on or it could be an unrelated illness.
I've suffered with vertigo on and off since I was about 16 and I'll be 37 next month. I suffer with vertigo whenever I get stressed and it takes a few days to a few weeks for mine to settle down.

I suggest you see your doctor about it as they can give you anti sickness meds to help with the dizziness and nausea.

I hope you feel better soon xx

fffibropainucks, I get dizzy but many times it's from my pain being very intense. My left shoulder currently keeps dislocating and I passed out yesterday after it popped. I also have TMJ and when it flates, my ears get weird and I get dizzy from that. Sometimes I also don't eat for a couple of days (because I'm just not hungry and the thought of food will turn my stomach. Perhaps you should go see an ENT doctor and have them check to see if you're dealing with vertigo. Hang in there and I wish you well and welcome aboard!! {{Hugs}}💕🤗

Vertigo is a symptom of fibro. I get it for no seemingly reason. I went to a specialist (neurologist). He specializes in dizziness. I had a bunch of unpleasant tests done. He gave me some medicine (not the usual). I have to find it. He told me to keep it in a dark place to keep it longer. I'll get it and let you know what it is.

Thanks , I have Phenergan bc I get nauseous from pain a lot but it doesn't seem to be helping. Thankfully the dizziness seemed to of stopped at least for now. I'm hoping it stays gone for a while. It was horrible. I've had vertigo before, it's been over a year but this just seemed different. Worse.

It is worse because the meds you're on exasperate the vertigo.
I've always found that prochlorperazine has helped me more than any other vertigo tablet, if I can't get to the doctors for the prochlorperazine.
I've found a travel sickness tablet called Avomine is the next best thing to prochlorperazine they saved me from morning sickness and travel sickness.....definitely get travel sickness if my aunt drives and crossing the Irish Sea is the worst sea crossing I've ever been on!

I hope you find some relief soon xx
