Dizziness with Fibro

Mar 13, 2018 7:15 AM

I have a history of dizziness the past few years. I have fibro. Does anyone else get dizzy? I feel like I'm walking uphill and the ground is going to give way. I'm also nauseous. It takes six months to get into see my Neuro. I'm scheduled to see his nurse practitioner today.

I’m sorry to hear that, it sounds lousy. Do you have blood pressure problems such as low BP? Hope the visit goes well.

Thanks Lilbet. I do sometimes have low blood pressure and my pulse is always really low. I do get dizzy when my blood pressure is low.

Have you had your Iron and Ferritin levels checked recently? If not, you may have Iron Deficiency Anemia. Does the dizziness only happen when you're standing up from sitting down, or is it random?

It's all the time. Even sitting and in bed. I just had bloodwork done. I don't know what Ferritin is.

I have POTS and fibromyalgia.my doctors say my POTS cause my dizziness and lightheadedness, especially when standing up or moving quickly.
They recommended adding more salt to my diet.
Now I take sodium chloride supplements 3-4x a day.
Seems to help quite a lot

Nurse thinks it's caused by neck. My neck hurts all the time. Gave me med and will go to PT.
