DMSO in Public?

Sep 06, 2015 10:33 AM

For me, DMSO (dimethylsulfoxide) gas been a life saver. Obviously, it doesn't work for everyone. Anyway, my worst issue/side effect I had with it was people thinking it smells awful.
Yesterday I went to wilco, and got a rose scented cream version. I usually hate scents, but I'll give it a shot since I really need it at school. It looks like a lotion, and you can't really smell the DMSO.
I really hope this works!

I know many people that use DMSO and yes, it does not smell so good. I think Tiger balm smells worse personally.I am allergic to sulfa so I rashed and got all itchy. So if you are allergic to the antibiotic Bactrim avoid DMSO or try a small test area. Technically celebrex is a sulfa drug too. Just want ya'all safe. I can take celebrex, weird. The body has a sense of humor!
*Ferritbandit have you ever tried a compound pharmacy thay make an anti inflammatory cream with ketamine in it for pain relief? You might ask a compound pharmacist about this then your doctor. I have seen some good results with this. Bonus it does not smell bad. Lol

I hope the lotion works for you. For someone who has had and worked with horses forever, I can attest that DMSO stinks. I don't like smells and if they're bad, I get headaches. I don't like Ben-Gay or Tiger Balm.. They stink too. I'd rather make due with a moist heating pad. Not much relief from that though. I will keep my fingers crossed that this lotion you got works and smells nice.💕

The compound cream with ketamine, I usually daily, up to 4 times a day. It doesn't have an odor at all! It does take the edge off the pain, for a short while, but I will take a short while over nothing!

I wholeheartedly agree.. Some pain relief for a little while is better than no relief at all. Be well and I hope you have a peaceful and mild pain night.
