Dobro with knee pains

Dec 14, 2016 7:53 AM

GM are there anyone experiencing really bad knee pain? I have pain which causes difficulty walking. I've had cortisone shots and an operation to cut a large meniscus tear. But I'm still in so much pain. My orthopedic says I need a knee replacement, community what u think about it

My mum and gran both had knee replacements after ages of dealing with similar pain. They both reported the recovery to be horrible, but the eventual relief to be totally worth it. So sorry you're facing that choice. Best of luck

Do they have fibromyalgia

My mom has fibromyalgia and has had knee replacements in both knees..she did really well with recovery. It didn't take away the fibro pain though.

I am 57. Eventually I will need replacements but for now I am scheduled for orthoscopic surgery where they will go in and clean out any arthritis or spurs etc. For several years I have been getting synvisc injections and in between doing steroid injections. That has really helped.

I had those injections too but no relief at all. I had relief for a few days and then bck to hurting. Walking up and down stairs are the worst. Do u still have pain in the knees are or u doing beta? With the fibromyalgia

My sister had TKR last year and she's doing wonderful now. She plans on doing the other one next year. Hugs love and prayers you have great relief if you go with the surgery! 🙂💕🙏🌸

Well I'm praying it goes well, but I'm nervous bc of the fibromyalgia and the healing process
