Honeybee, I'm sorry your doc was so inconsiderate. What is Jhm eds? I would suggest you get a second opinion and ask the first doc to clarify why he thinks that.

Dr's don't know crap. Years ago they told my dad basically go home and wait to die due to hepatitis c, he went on to live 8 years. I had a grandma no one would tell her the doctors gave her a year. 20 plus years later she did finally pass. Keep a good attitude it makes a difference and tell those stupid doctors they are not (insert whatever higher power you believe in) and prove them wrong.

Honeybee I am so sorry that you had to experience that from your Dr. I think Dr's need to go back to school and relearn compassion. He doesn't know if that's how long you have left. There is only one person who knows without a doubt and that is God. I think I would get a second opinion and then go for there. I have never heard of Jhm eds. Keep you in thoughts and prayers.

Honeybee, I am so very sorry that your doctor has the compassion and social skills of a gnat!! He is not God and there is no expiration date stamped on your ass!!! You will be strong for your children, lean on us when you need help and be pro-active with your care... You know when someone tells you that you are unable to do something, it brings up that animal instinct and then you run on autopilot and say, that doctor has no idea what I can or can't do. All you can do Is the best you can do. I'll be praying for you that you finally get what you've already contributed to.

I like the advice on prayer and it's true, doctors are ok, but they're not the final authority, our Creator God is, staying happy

Honeybee, they're right, only God knows your timeline! Many have outlived their doctors diagnosed time. Prayer, faith & trying to stay positive are fuel to flame your desire to live. I'm praying for you, and I hope you'll find a more considerate doctor 🙏🌼

Honeybee, I caught only part of a story on tonights news. A woman with a lethal brain tumor, leioblastoma I think, was given 3 mos to live. She went to Duke University Hospital and underwent trial treatment, and she's still alive and doing well. I believe they said it's been 5-6 years now. Don't give up & don't believe every word a doctor says. 🙏🌼

I saw that story as well.... I also know someone who was diagnosed with sarcinoma (spelling?) and they said she wouldn't live a year and it's been over 20!!! Like I said, keep the faith, only God knows when he'll call you home.. Hang out with us and we'll pump you up when you're feeling deflated. 💕🌻

I was 19 when my doctor asked me about my menstruations during a regular Addison's follow-up check. Told him that my pills have ended them from when I was 17. He just blurted without even glancing at my direction "Yea, then you might be fruitless. It's normal for auto-immune diseases to start spreading that way. We won't be able to tell unless you get pregnant, but it's most likely you're fruitless."
There can be some pretty heartless and inconciderate people in the world. It's sad that some of them end up as doctors.
Believe in yourself and your strenght, you can live long and prove them a-holes wrong! *hugs*

Doctors have no clue that is why they call it a practice. And when they are really bad at it they call it malpractice. Keep a positive attitude I think that helps the most.
