Does any one have POTS

Aug 11, 2017 4:26 PM

Hi everyone I was wondering does anyone on here have postural tachycardia syndrome?

Flapsylady81 I think has it. She's had health problems and family issues but should be on sometime.

I haven't been diagnosed with it, but I do have occasional symptoms. Yesterday was one of my symptom days. I stood up to change clothes, and my heart rate shot up to around 125 bpm and my bp was 110/62. But it doesn't happen very often for me.

If it doesn't happen very often then you might have very mild pots or you might not have it wich is a good thing! When I stand up mine goes to about 155 and I have a resting heart rate of 112-150 so I'm very tachycardic.

My pulse at rest runs around 60 bpm. And I often get bp readings around 85/58. So when it does act up it's scary, especially after I had a heart attack in 2006.

Yes I bet that scares you after your heart attack, My pulse is so high at resting that I can feel it all over my body and I have chest pain. If your worried about it I would go to your gp.๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•

When I mentioned it to the cardiologist she told me to drink a glass of water because I was most likely dehydrated.

Dehydration can cause the symptoms ecpecially as your only having symptoms very so often. With pots you usually have symptoms every day but maybe get it double checked๐Ÿ’•
