Does anyone else get pain sweats?

May 17, 2017 12:29 PM

I was in agony last night and sweated through a towel and it lasted for hours and then I was hot and cold every 2 seconds and I still am dealing with it just minus the sweat.

Everytime I fall asleep I sweat. Even if I nod off I'll be soaked in a matter or mins

Every time? And nothing helps?

Yes. Even during my wedding ceremony. So embarrassing. I find its worse when pain is bad also if I have eaten too much process foods and sugar. Cold cloth on the wrists help a bit.

Yes..its horrible sometimes I get the sweats before the pain actually hits. Kind of like an early warning system

Ice pack at the back of the neck. Cool cotton sheets & a fan are my go tos for sleep. Night sweats can be symptom of liver problems like hepatitis. Might want to rule that out. I try to have a washcloth or hand towel n my purse when I go out. Keep one at my bedside during the day. Yes as a woman I sure do more that simply " glow". Praying for us all.

All the time. It can be freezing cold, which makes my pain go through the roof and I will be sweating away.

I have to add layers to make it stop or at least manageable. Jeez. And the cold absolutely makes it worse.

May 17, 2017 8:29 PM

I do the layers and dark coloured clothes to hide the sweating haha

Yes! It really suck if you use Fentanyl patches because it messes them up and they do not deliver medication properly after that. Our bodies do all kinds of wierd things to us when we are in pain. I have gotten to where I can only tolerate only natural fiber clothing now no blends for me. I feel like I am a reptile sometimes trying to regulate my temperature.

Holy cow, only natural fiber? Yeesh. I'm sorry

I do, it's kind of become a gauge for me if I am doing too much. I didn't make the connection between my Rising pain levels and breaking out in a sweat because I am menopausaul and i have hot flashes so... But my youngest daughter who still lives at home made the connection and told me that every time I was getting close to my pain threshold I would really start to sweat and my face but turn bright red so now when I start sweating I stop whatever I'm doing instead or lay if I can't sit

@newfibrogirl2 I am the same way. I know if the sweating starts pains about to slam me.
