I'm not really sure of any other issues since I have several issues goi g at once. And I have a lot of crossover side effects.. I'm sorry your suffering so it is rough being a woman but u got this..

Jan 11, 2016 11:07 AM

Michelle, I don't have fibro but I too have the make you stop in your tracks period pain. Cramps from hell, Panic attacks not so much, but bitchy as hell. Usually a 3-4 day migraine to throw into the mix. Oh and hot flashes from hell(not that my gyn gets that already lol).

Jan 11, 2016 11:49 AM

Im hot than cold but mostly hot my husband brought home decaf tea and bitchy oh boy i wanted to beat him

Jan 11, 2016 11:51 AM

Hexj i would too .decaf.. Thsts just colored water. What is that man thinking...lol

Jan 11, 2016 7:47 PM

Hot flashes with night sweats, moodiness (crying, agitation, anxiety), worse IBS (both C & D), headaches (especially migraines), irregular & extremely heavy cycles until hysterectomy (then all but the bleeding). Probably more, but being I went through med- induced menopause and it all ended 3-4 years ago (16 years of menopause), I can't remember the rest. Btw... Do you know why it's called menopause? I don't know officially, but I'd say it's short for "men ought to pause before approaching!". Lol 😷🙏🌼

Jan 11, 2016 7:49 PM

You have got to be kidding you meant 16 years? And yes i agree with the definition

Jan 11, 2016 7:51 PM

No, I wish I was. My hubby had me in menopause and two teenaged girls all PMSing around the clock! I told him that's what he got wishing for girls. 😱

Jan 11, 2016 7:58 PM

Michelle, I would have hit him upside the head with the cup for decaf tea. That's just distilled water in my book.

Jan 11, 2016 7:59 PM

Flappys.. Are u saying after hysterectomy u still have all the other stuff? Too?

Jan 11, 2016 8:02 PM

I just joined a peri group so these ladys saying ibs severe pain back hips and joints anxiety depression migraines why does this and fibro sound sooo similar

Jan 11, 2016 8:18 PM

Yes Newfibrogirl, I had all the other symptoms without the bleeding. Then in 2003 they took my ovaries due to cysts that wouldn't shrink and they suspected cancer. For a year or so I had some relief, but then in 2010 they removed the 10 cm paraovarian cyst (grew from residual ovary cells), I think they said it weighed 18 lb. Since 2010 my body has been fine in all those areas. But then the fibro really kicked in (started while cyst was growing).

Michellle1971, I couldn't remember the lumbar pain and hip pain, until you said it. And it was so much worse if my IBS-C was acting up too! The difference in the menopause and fibro is, the menopause lumbar pain was in the joints (now from OA), but the fibro is in the soft tissue on each side of my lumbar-sacrum areas, and buttocks. It's like pressing your thumbs into the buttock muscles (upper back, chest, etc...all muscles), and the deeper you press the worse it gets. The fibro pain never goes away, while the menopause symptoms were affected by my hormones fluctuating. Now that it's all gone the OA has settled into my spine, all the way down.

Jan 11, 2016 8:21 PM

Ahhhhh flappys maybe a combination of both than!I I have a absolute hatred for hormones now ive been shedding like a dog for moths I have so much hair i pick it out of the drain and cry! Lol ohhhh our lives!

Jan 11, 2016 8:26 PM

Wow ..OK..my curiosity was perked since that's the surgery I'm gonna have this year. Have not decided if I'm gonna have a full hysterectomy or partial.. I'm not sure what they r gonna do about the tumors on my bladder. Personally I can't think about it.. But I am wanting to have all information I can get before my next appointment.. Thank u for sharing..
Michellled sorry if I hijacked your Post and thanks for posting it..this is helping me too..

Jan 11, 2016 8:35 PM

You rock like apple sauce... Lol

Jan 11, 2016 8:36 PM

Lol well ive never been told that but i do love applesauce lol

Jan 11, 2016 10:56 PM

Oh don't get me started again...lol...didn't we just talk about all this...lol..Gawd it is horrible! Peri-menopause! But , lol, it will pass..I swear I hate that when others said it to me. Just hang in there and be gentle with yourself! Educate yourself about it, and try not to let it consume your every waking moment. Much.love and Blessings, Terri

Jan 12, 2016 8:59 AM

Oh Terri I think that is problem its consuming me I just hear so many things about it than ppl say well that never happened to me than i get scared! Every single day i wake up i havesomething else hurting now my wrists and elbows is this really hormones or am i just crazy ..than comes the anxiety which makes it worse!

Jan 12, 2016 9:44 AM

I had similiar pains, also had polyps in my uterus. My pains were so bad I couldn't cope anymore. I had a full hysterectomy at the age of 29. It was the best thing I ever did.

Jan 12, 2016 9:47 AM

Omg so young mellisa! You had the joint issues?

Jan 12, 2016 9:50 AM

Yes, i have Fibromyalgi, ddd, and OA. In my abdomen is where I first started having fibro pain. Then my periods were uncontrollable. The flow and pain was awful. So the hysterectomy was,the best solution. So glad I did it. Except for now I think Im in menopause at the age of 34.

Jan 12, 2016 10:05 AM

Does anyone else have pain in their woman area? Sometimes if I wash down there or if my jeans are a tad too snug, I hurt down there. I hope I am not the only one. Otherwise, I am going to think I am crazy.

Jan 12, 2016 10:08 AM

I so do especially pmsing i joined a fb support group and that and boobs alot complaining about!

Jan 12, 2016 11:43 AM

Newfibrogirl, I forgot to mention that they put me on HRT because I was so young when they did the hysterectomy, and they said I needed the hormones. I don't know if it would have been as bad had I not taken them. Make a list of questions, ask for all possible options to be explained in depth, and then you can make an informed decision based on knowledge. Ask about other patients complications & success rates too. Good luck! 😷🙏🌼

Shortone26, you aren't alone. The GYN doc said mine is from the damaged nerves during all my pelvic region surgeries.
