In the last month and a half I have noticed more and more ringing in my ears. Especially when I fell headaches coming on. This last few days it's been pretty much constant. Any advice on getting the ringing to at least be less annoying?
No, but I wish I did. I've had tinnitus for years. Interestingly enough I saw an article on vertigo, and its sometimes connected to menieres disease, on Wikipedia. I'd love to find a way to end my tinnitus & vertigo. Maybe someone else has some advice.
My husband saw a Tinnitus specialist at UCLA in December. He had it by that time for about six months and had already had an MRI done and a hearing test. The first thing they did was another hearing exam cause I guess a hearing loss is sometimes the root of tinnitus. Wasn't the case for my husband. He is having him take ginkgo biloba. Said to give it at least 3 months and that it took care of it in a large percentage of people. I'll find out details of milligrams and post here
I've had incessant ringing and the feeling like something is in there. Went to the ent doctor and was told I had no wax or impactions in the ear. My eardrum is now flat instead of being some shaped, it is flat and has scarring on it. I'm Starting to loose hearing in the left ear. I'm going to have to go to another one becaue it feels like it has a plugge feeling and it hurts.
I have ringing in my ears and I have noticed I am very sensitive to sound. I can hear everything. My son likes to sit across the room from me and see how light he can whisper and I hear it. The only thing that helps me is light background noise. It doesn't stop the ringing but I don't focus on it.
On the ginko thing, there are some drug interactions it has, so please check on those if you are on other meds as the dose my hubby's dr told him is higher than the usual and I wouldn't want anyone to get hurt by it. I guess always good to check with your doctor before adding anything to your med list just in case...best of luck!
