Driving me nuts! 😨 💥

Sep 23, 2016 11:12 AM

I have fibro & sjogrens & hypothyroidism & allergies, all which can contribute to itching and/or dry skin. For the past six months it has happened on a daily basis. But for the past two weeks it is happening 24/7 and it's driving me nuts! I've tried calamine lotion. I've tried hydrocortisone cream. I've tried everything I can think of to stop the itching. But it's like the nerve endings in my skin is that the highest level possible and I itch between fingers and toes and joints and elbows and eyes and my whole skin all over and I'm clawing myself. Any suggestions of what else to try? I'm leaving bruises on my skin from scratching. Thanks in advance! 🙂💕🙏🌸

Could it be an allergic reaction to a medication? Have you tried Benadryl?

I have used cold muscle stuff and then natural one with capsicum when I had the shingles ... Haven't tried it on my fibro itch yet ... Good luck ...

@ Newfibrogirl, my doc won't let me use aspercreme. Maybe I can find the lidocaine by itself. But I'm not sure I can afford enough to run on my whole body. My hubby may need a raise. Lol

@ Gibber, I'm having seasonal allergies right now so I've been on benadryl for the last 2 weeks and it's not helping.

If I could get in a tub I'd get into an oatmeal bath. **Sigh**

Flappsy, have you tried Aveno Oatmeal Lotion for itchy dry skin. I have problems with really itchy patches that I scratch raw and that seems to help. There's another lotion that's even better but very expensive. You can't put it on open skin because it will burn like hell but it's called Amlactin and it works on the dryest itchiness skin, just make sure there are no splits. Hope these help. Sending you lots of love, gentle {{{Hugs}}} and prayers that this eliminates the problem for you. 💕🙏🏻🌻😊

Have you tried calahist? Walgreens carries it. It combined the calamine and the histamine together.

Try bathing in dead Sea salts . Take a lotradine only antihistamine. Also drink a glass of water in the morning with a tablespoon of organic apple cider vinegar . Good luck.
