Rockysbaby, I had that procedure done in 2005, and it is an outpatient procedure. They put you under and the first day its just like bad PMS cramps, I was able to return to work the next day. I've not had any pain from it to this day, they will give you a card to carry around though so keep it with you. It takes 5 months to fully take effect and so a little tmi, if you have sex be sure you have condoms and take extra precautions till you go back to make sure nothing goes through. It was a life saver for me! I hope this helps!
Sorry I should've added more info. I was getting ready for work. I had essure done in 2008. Had Nova sure done in August. My friend invited me to this fb page essure problems. Apparently they are saying that essure can cause all these other medical problems. Although I don't understand how. They also have a couple drs on page who are also fighting against essure and it's removal. The ladies on this page have tried telling me my problems stem from this. I never had any issues before having this done, but again I still don't understand how it could cause these issues.
Just looking up, they have a warning about if you're using immunosuppresants, but I always wonder if our illnesses do the same things to our bodies sometimes? Even on the Essure page, they have warnings about unknown/known medical side effects, one being that it moves and punctures a party or your body, or that it might not work if Nova sure is also done.
This page, is it motivated by individual people with bad experiences, or politics, just curious...
Moparmom I have 3degenerated discs, spinal stenosis, plantar fascitis that have been diagnosed. But my whole body from my neck down has some kind of pain. My arms, hands, back, hips, legs, knees, ankles, shoulders and inside of my shins, and now my gums are starting to hurt. I don't believe all of this is from essure. They also say weight gain, which I am over weight, didn't gain weight until after essure. Have gained a little more since ablation. One of the pics a girl posted after hysterectomy was a major difference in her belly.
I have back problems as well but, like you I don't think the Essure could do that, I had scoliosis since a child and when I had the c-section with my daughter, the doctor doing the epidural kept hitting the wrong places and kept hitting the nerves on either side instead of going in the middle where he was supposed to have gone and that of course set things over the edge for me.
