The last few weeks I have been exhausted absolutely exhausted. It seems I can not manage doing even doing the simplest tasks. Everything seems to be the biggest chore. I do not know why. The othe day I could not get off the toilet and I have bars on the toilet. It took me several tries before I could get up. I do not know what is going on or why the change. I am so frustrated. I have not been sick...meaning had the flu or cold or anything. I just notice I have been getting more and mor tired, exhausted. What could be going on. I noticed I was having a harder time driving also...working the gas peddle. Most definitely getting in the car. Anyone else experienced this symptom.

MySistersKeeper, you have had a tremendous amount of stress on your plate lately and it takes a physical toll. You may be mentally weary and that just drags you down and you just want to sleep. I find it concerning though that you couldn't get up off the toilet with the bars and that you're having a problem driving and working the gas pedal. Perhaps a call to your doctor is in order to see what he/she thinks. Have you started any new medications lately? I had an increase of the dosage of my Zanaflex and all I've been doing is dozing and waking and dozing and waking. I hope you get to the bottom of the situation and figure out what's going on. As your day goes on, do you feel better or more tired? Do you find that when you get more tired that's when you have a hard time doing some tasks? You'll be in my thoughts and prayers. Hang in there, you got this!! {{{Hugs}}} 💕🙏🏻🌻

I am not sure of your situation but I know that sometimes when I have to much going on I miss my pain triggers to slow down and before I know it my pain is out of control. I get flu like symptoms with my extreme pain from nausea, diarrhea to fever. I have issues with driving somehow the motions of pushing on the gas and especially the brake hurt. Overall it sounds like your body is saying go to bed and get some rest because you are pushing to hard.

Extreme fatigue is a major symptom of autoimmune disease. Is that what you have?

Hey, mysisterskeeper, I am sorry you have been feeling yucky. I hate when I feel that way. Just too exhausted and fatiqued to move. It sounds like something that you should talk to your doctor about. I have been doing better with my inflammation since I have been taking turmeric for a while. The supplement. I am not saying that should replace talking to your doctor. I am just saying if you have some inflammation, it helps. I hope you get to feeling better soon. Best wishes.

MySistersKeeper, I'm so sorry you're feeling exhausted to that point. I also think this may be a reason to call your doctor. Five years ago I was too tired to get off the toilet as well. I thought it was my meds. Later that week the home health nurse asked about my exhaustion, and took my blood pressure. It was so low she couldn't find it. I ended in hospital for two weeks, with the I-don't-know-what's-going-on-with-this-pt team. If your blood pressure is dropping, you'll really want to see someone about that.

Low blood pressure is a common problem with M.E. (fybromyalgia ) sufferers, mine's low quite often which causes near fainting upon standing up. Fybromyalgia patients have a lower blood volume than other people, lying down helps.

Thank you ALL...all things I had not thought about...especially lower blood pressure. I have made an appointment for this coming Monday with my doctor to address my exhaustion and fatigue. Thank you for taking the time to respond. Your time and thoughtfulness was greatly appreciated.

I know this isn't likely to be the cause, but the only time I've really felt like that was when I had mono. Have you ever had mono?

I know this probably isn't what's going on with you, but if this is a newish thing you might want to rule it out.

I've had all kinds of other fatigue related to pain and my long term issues, but nothing wiped me out as much as mono did. It was sort of unbelievable!!

I hope you feel better and more energetic very soon! All the best!

My test results were received yesterday which I am in disbelief and have totally floored me... I have MONONUCLEOSIS!!! I can not believe it. I can not remember the last time I have been kissed. Do not drink behind anyone and don't use public fountains. The kissing illness and didn't even have fun getting it. I am down for the count. Headache, still fatigue, and exhausted, sore throat, rash... Pooh pooh pooh!!!

MySistersKeeper I was wondering where you were!! OMG, I can't believe you have Mono??? You know that's pretty scary. How else is it contracted? I know it can take a lot of time to go away. Please rest and feel better. Too bad you don't have a nice juicy story of how you got it, at least you could brag.. LOL!!😜 No, but seriously, please get better soon. You'll be in my prayers. {{{Hugs}}}💕🙏🏻🌻

Whoa I called it! I had a seriously bad case in high school, but I honestly can't remember another time in my life where i felt that exhausted!!

I caught by sharing a cup of coffee with someone who wasn't obviously sick at the time. These things happen. I wouldn't stress over the contraction as much and focus on feeling better.

The bad news: you'll be wiped out for a really long while. It can vary a lot. I had friends that were over it in a week, but it was about a month and a half of basically constantly sleeping for me. Had to stop out of school temporarily. Other people had unusually long cases. Just follow the doctor's advice: don't stress your body out! Lots of rest! Eat well, sleep tons!

The good news: nearly everyone only catches mono once. Once you're over it, that's usually the end of the story. I considered it an innoculation. A long crapoy innoculation. :)

I ended up reading a lot of books that had been on my list for a while. Maybe try that? Just let yourself drift off if your body tells you to.

I hope you feel better soon and are back to your normal energy level!
