I've had two back surgeries to deal with sciatica. It is now believed that all along it was the piriformis which is also known to cause sciatica. I'm now in agony as back surgery did not target issue.

Hey Puggers 🐫
I have been dx with failed back surgery syndrome. I have had 3x spinal surgeries... 🐧but still in severe chronic pain and now on fentanyl patches. NOW Waiting for a spinal chord stimulator implant.🤗

Everybody I know of the back surgery didn't help and in some cases made it worse

My doctors are sorely divided on subject of surgery for spinal nerve pain. 2 say must have & 2 say no no. My husband says I am crazy to even consider letting someone cut on my spine. Two of the surgeons say I will lose use of legs & become incontinent if I do not have it. I am in so much pain & losing ability to walk unaided. I don't know what to do. Both of my brothers have failed back surg. With resulting septicemia. Ugh.

My mom and I both have that diagnosis. :(
