FAIRLY NEW, PAIN Therapy systems

Jun 23, 2018 3:49 PM

As Always , I always I DO Not Succumb to defeat by any means necessary so I look for solutions to my constant everyday pain, researching, holistic approaches, therapy, supplements ,exercise ,pain meds but the pain Wins more days then I can handle sometimes,I have raised a 30 year old that was injured at birth resulting in paralysis in his left arm,I also have a 34 year old body builder son that I raised not to quit, so I have to be an example and get my self out of bed so I saw a Pain Therapy system advertised on TV that has large pads, small pads and even pads for your feet and I was wandering if any of you that or veterans at this pain thing ever gave it a try because I do not want to depend on pain meds too long or spend all my time in bed, I WANT MY LIFE BACK, I want to play with my 2 grandkids and 1 or twins on the way. I need to travel again⛸🤺🤸🏽‍♂️🤾🏽‍♀️

I have seen it advertised on TV too. I think it's called Dr. Ho's Pain Therapy System. It's essentially an expensive name-brand version of a TENS machine.

I know right! I already have 1 version of a Tens system with 2 smaller massage pads, but this one Dr Ho have has 2 larger pads , 2 smaller pads, feet pads, the deluxe has 20 small pads, 4 large pads, 2 foot pads and a spray bottle, and the massage action looks more intense, so I was just wandering if it would be worth a try considering it would probably cover more areas of pain. At this point I’m really to go all in just to stop my issues, because I think I am becoming moody, intolerant and yeah bored , because I love to move , dance , and road trips are my thing, but the pain and stiffness stops all that

The non-branded TENS machine that I own, I am able to buy the pads in different sizes including extra large pads. Is this an option for the TENS machine you own?

Yes it does , it think the Foot pads caught my interest, because sometimes my body hurts from the sole of my feet to my neck, when I say every bone and joint I mean every last one. So I need electro stimulation , and I don’t want to get addicted to pain meds. This week I’m on Dexamethasone a Steroid which I know is not good , because my last visit to my Neurologist my whole right side legs, shoulders, knees were in so much pain my arm shook uncontrollably in my Drs presence , and I all I could do is blink and tears flowed, I have to take another mri soon to see if my spinal narrowing has progressed since April

Belt did not help -I have facet hypertrophy from l4-s1, herniated l4/l5 with l4 nerve root compression
It’s minor benefits weren’t worth it n TENS doesn’t do much for me but a chiro uses it to help the muscles hold adjustments (I was told)...
if $$ isn’t a huge factor, it’s worth a try. Is it returnable if you’re unhappy?
I’m getting cynical about all these non-prescription pain aide claims (whether its supplements, devices, pads, creams or natural pain med) using big pharma’s greed to hide behind their own profiteering...(CBD is super expensive in all forms, the creams or tens pads at drugstores are maybe 10 percent help n expensive, the decompression belts n machines are $$$, the pillows, mattresses and supplements are a ton. Frustrating if ya can’t afford to do: special pillows, mattress, supps, acupuncturist, chiro, massage, gyms/saunas/Jacuzzi etc. that drugs become best option.

RobynG is the Chiro painful...., because I sometimes become a scaredy cat , it took me 6 months to ask my therapist for Dry Needling, and my new therapist did an initial evaluation on my Cervical Spine 3 weeks ago afterwards my upper back burned and my neck was painfully sore, I had to spend days in bed and missed my session 2 days later, so I am wandering if Chiro is as rough as it seems
