Fasting and diet changes reduces pains

Jan 31, 2016 9:56 AM

Fasting with honey water

Jan 31, 2016 9:57 AM

Eat fruits and vegetables for breakfast, and dinner

Jan 31, 2016 10:05 AM

Please dont make general remarks telling people that if the do something it will help. If it helped you thats great. Write something like: I tried this and it helped me. Not this reduces pain.
Not everyone is the same. For example, if i try to fast there will be bodies and I'll end up in jail, i have to eat every 2-3 hours. If my boyfriend eats more than one serving of fruit in a day he gets more pain, but he feels great eating meat. My mom feels worse eating gluten but it doesn't bother me and we have the same diagnosis.
Hope you have a good day

Jan 31, 2016 2:28 PM

Suji, I like your idea! Can you elaborate on your experience? There is good evidence about fasting and inflammatory disorders like Rheumatoid arthritis. I have been to a rheumatology clinic in Germany where they have fasting programs (1 week) for fibromyalgia patients with good results. Thats comprehensible because fasting affects your nervous system.

Jan 31, 2016 2:36 PM

He's been pulling post headlines from the older posts and just putting them up.. Please don't get him started again. He was convinced this morning that he has Fibro and he said he wakes in pain and then after a few hours, it goes away. He's just basically reading from the Internet and posting it to the board. Thanks!! Have a great day, Doctor.πŸ’•πŸ˜Š

Jan 31, 2016 2:46 PM

Wish we could find a better way to filter these types of folks...but its good we are here watching out for them.

Jan 31, 2016 6:46 PM

Yahoo to the Group! And this dude what the heck? This morning he was all over the place with his imagined almost fibro diagnosis... Now the random post about diet fasting and light therapy...Well,.....

Jan 31, 2016 10:17 PM

AlwayZ, I've noticed multiple posts by this person, and they're all just alike. Wonder if he's kin to the last spam poster? If he's legit, then he needs to start posting for real instead of vaguely.

Jan 31, 2016 10:19 PM

Flappys I think the same thing. That he just changed names. And switched up.his tactic

Jan 31, 2016 10:20 PM

He doesn't type understandably very well either. Not to be mean. But i just can't stand when people type like a child I guess.

Jan 31, 2016 10:49 PM

He's Indian I think. He was on this morning and I tried to help him and then he got very stressed and anxious... I tried to help and then gave up

Jan 31, 2016 11:19 PM

Makes me wonder how these people find these apps. Before I had Fibromyalgia I knew nothing about it, and definitely did not find apps to spam..lol

Feb 01, 2016 9:07 AM

I gained 52 pounds since I have been sick my doctor's told me to lose some weight it could relief me well I was 182 down 159 total 23 pounds still in pain

Feb 01, 2016 8:55 PM

Right, everyone is different, what works for one , may not work for another, but diet can play a big role in fibromyalgia I've changed mine and I really do feel better, not a cure, but alittle relife

Feb 01, 2016 9:29 PM

Has anyone eliminated all sugars? my doctor wants me to try to do the inflammation diet?

Feb 01, 2016 9:31 PM

Well I've done all processed sugars or white sugar I sweeten with local honey

Feb 01, 2016 9:36 PM

Do you feel like it has reduced any pain? I have been doing counseling, accupuncture, pool therapy, massage, chiropractic and meds but they want to get me to no meds and I just can't see how the pool and the meds are the best but I can't live on the pool and I work full time so it's hard to get all of the other apps in most are done on my lunch hour

Feb 01, 2016 9:40 PM

Well it has helped me in some ways I feel the meds work better when I have clean system..but as far as over all relief..not so much.

Feb 01, 2016 9:43 PM

Your welcome.. Anytime... I also do simple stretches yoga with resistance bands.it is hard to do when ur joints ache but I do see a difference with that. Even though it's minimal.. And your joints will swell at first. At least mine did. I can not find a pool to do my therapy in but I wish I could.

Feb 01, 2016 9:58 PM

I stretch every morning and night I'm a dental assistant I have my stretch bands at the office and I have these pokey balls that I can put on the wall and use for my middle back helps some days but some days it's so bad I can't even wear a bra I have to drive a hour a way to use the pool so I only get to do it once a week but I'm thankful for it

Feb 01, 2016 10:00 PM

I was just diagnosis in Sept of 2015 how new are you to this? If you don't mind me asking I'm super struggling I'm only 38 and feel 60

Feb 02, 2016 10:25 AM

Packattackfibromom....I'm new also..I'm 37 I was diagnosed in August of 2015

Feb 03, 2016 11:44 AM

Welcome to the community packattackFibroMOM! I've had fibro symptoms since 2007-2008, but wasn't dx until 2012. I have a long list of other dx contributing to chronic pain, 3 are Autoimmune (AI). I'm 54 and have felt 60-70 for the past 4-5 years. Healthy people can't comprehend what we go through, especially if they don't see us daily.

I've not done a diet of any kind, though I'm looking into eliminating sugars. My weight keeps climbing as my body ailments keep adding on. Lol I know it's not good to gain because of the comorbidities of obesity. I can just hear my PCP's reaction now. "You need to lose weight." Yeah, yeah, assure said than done, especially when my illnesses are counterproductive.

You'll find lots of support here. We are from all over the world, all ages, and all kinds of illnesses. But everyone here understands chronic pain & judgement. This is a safe place to vent, cry, ask questions, give advice, pray or ask for prayer, or chat in general about our issues. What works for one won't necessarily work for another, but there are lots of good advice ideas shared here. Good luck as you settle in. Hugs & prayers! πŸ™‚πŸ™πŸ’•πŸŒΌ

Cut sugar cut sweet buns n biscuits
Any sweet juices like quash just add water is bad
Try and cut sugar and you will notice changes in health
I get itching across shoulders n back from eating sugars and need an antihistamine to calm things down

I have High Bp and find it normal at 153/110 after meds
