Feeling a bit more human

Oct 31, 2015 7:51 AM

Okay so the last 3 days have been extremely difficult, but I must say that I think I'm beginning to finally feel more human. Still feel like I've been run over by a truck at times, but nothing like I felt on Tuesday or Wednesday. Thank goodness for this community. Without you guys, I would have lost my mind by now.

YAY!!! Amanda, I am so happy to hear that you are starting to feel more like yourself. I think that's great. Now, I know that you don't need me to tell you this but I will anyway.. DON'T overdo it!! LOL!! We all do it from time to time. You have a "break" and feel like you can do some stuff and then you think you can do more stuff and then BAM.. Overdone!! Don't want to see that happen to you. How's the swelly belly? Has it come down some? Have you been able to move off the gas from surgery? Are you eating and staying hydrated?? (Damn, I sound like a combination of a nurse and a mother!! LOL!!!) I just have to ask because I care and I want you to heal with no setbacks. I hope the day continues to be a better one. Sending love, {{{Hugs}}} and prayers your way.💕🙏🏻🌻

Way to stick it out! I'm so glad you are feeling better!

Alwayz, swelly belly still there, but not as much. I'm still having nausea right now(on phenergan still) but able to eat. Gas is moving very slowly.

Amanda, I'm so glad that you're felt more human today. That is quite an improvement! In with Alwayz, don't overdo it! Because I say this with love because that's exactly what I end up doing. Haha.

Oh Amanda I do owe you an email! I'm an awful person.... I'm so out of it these last couple weeks. Been looking for a rock to climb beneath. But in so happy you're feeling better. I think there was some OTC that your can take to help with swelly belly. I didn't take it because of my allergies. Sonething to look into of the swelling gets too bad and painful.

Big hugs!

Amanda, I'm so glad you're having a better day today! Like others said, don't overdo it. I'm not sure if Kitty 26 is talking about Gas-X. I tried it once and it caused bad abdominal cramps; likely because of my IBS. The hospital use to give me Maalox to help move the gas off. Keep improving! Hugs & a prayer! 🙏🌼

Yep, the gas x just made it worse for me as well. All I really feel like doing right now is sleeping but I guess this is what my body needs right now. Again, no fever at this point, but just feeling like poo already. I'm going to attempt to go to church in the morning, but that's about it. I just hate being on the phenergan still because it just zones me out but I guess being zoned out is a good thing some days.

Now, if only I can get my lower pelvis to be quiet. I think it's because most everything got moved around while he was in there on Tuesday. Haven't had any of the big guns pain pills since 11 am this morning. Hoping not to need anymore either as they just knock me for a loop already. Getting off my soap box and going back to bed now.

Amanda, you might want to take one at bedtime, just to prevent breakthrough pain in your sleep. Hope you continue to feel better. 🙏
