Feeling resentment

Sep 13, 2016 12:08 AM

So I've had a week from hell..( sorry language). In but even gonna go into it all. Nir gonna bother tall like that. But ice dependent on someone else to pay my insurance. And they often either forget or choose to not pay it. And then I'm not able to get meds dr appointment ect.
Very casual about making it up and paying it. So now I'm here not able to sleep in pain. Basically gon cold turkey on several meds .
The resentment comes from they are sleeping like a baby and in her whinning totally. Makes me want to go wJe then and keep then up why should I suffer like this.

You have every reason to be upset . I empathise with you. 'They simply don't get it' and expecting them to do so only makes things worse for us. Use self- talk to calm your mind and acceptance that they don't understand . Why add to your pain? Find ways to cope which benefit you. Look after yourself .

New, I am so sorry that you are having to go through that. Going cold turkey on pain meds is not no fun, been there done that, I pray that they pay soon so you can get back in to see your doctor's and get your medications. You have been through enough already without having to add this to it all! Love, Hug's and Prayer's Hun for lower pain levels and better day's ahead. 🙏😘🌞🌹

Relying on other people sucks, especially when they are not reliable. Sorry you have to deal with that. Hugs.

Thank you guys and then she comes in all happy and bubbly asking dumbass questions like what happening today. And laughing at my heating pad. And then yes I snap and she gonna try and make me feel bad and say well I was gonna tell you to go ahead and pay your insurance but oh well.. it's cruel

I'm sorry you having stress on top of pain that's so hard emotionally. For your pains don't use a dry heating pad, it will dry out your cartilage
and makes you hurt worse. Try heating wash clothes or using rice. Try hot baths with magnesium flakes or Epson salt. Try drinking green tea with honey and ginger. Cold turkey is horrible. I'm so sorry, I hope it passes.

When I get my meds back how would you suggest I start back.? Do I go back to the original dose or do I start over at the low dose.

Sep 13, 2016 10:38 AM

Has it been more then 2 weeks since you stopped them? If yes start low if no continue normal dose. I would ask doctor or pharmacist to be safe.

Sep 13, 2016 10:44 AM

It's been four days.so far. Hopefully I'll be able to get them some time this afternoon.

Newfibrogirl, I'm sorry that you're going through so much and I hope that she gets her act together and pays on time in future or maybe you should consider nominating someone else.

With regards to going back on your meds, it's only been 4 days so it should be fine to go back to your original dose but please ceck with your doctor and let your pharmacist know. If I knew what you were on I would be able to tell you if it was okay or not (in my non-professional opinion of course) by using the same resources docs do but even if I or someone else did I would still check with your doc.

Thank you tired... it's nortriptylin thst I've been off of.

Sep 14, 2016 7:22 AM

Okay, with nortriptylin it really depends, how were you when you first went on it?
I think that you will probably have to go back on a reduced dose for a week and increase but remember to check with your doctor because it varies by medication, person, age etc.

Thanks .. I did ok at First. It took me down kind of slowly. I did get my meds last night and I was so exhausted I just took the full dose it slammed me to ground whish was fins because I was so exhausted and the pain was over ten. My dr never called me.back but I'll see him next week. Thank you all for hanging with me. Your advice and support was awesome as always. I'm praying to get out of this pitty pot very soon. It's just my chemotherapy and Therapy and stress at home is really all to much. So it's makes me very weak and emotional.
