Feeling vertebrae grinding

May 05, 2016 3:44 PM

I have a grade 3 spondylolisthesis, and the doctors basically aren't doing anything about it apart from pain killers and telling me it'll hopefully stiffen with age.
Just wondering if anyone else has the same kind of thing and has ever done a movement and felt the slipped vertebra grinding over the one below it? First felt it when I was warming up at cheerleading and we were rotating our hips but been feeling it in more things recently, any suggestions on what to do?

I've read where people have worn corsets or back braces to help with their spine doing weird things. I haven't tried either of them as of yet, I have enough braces right now. LOL I have several ankle braces, knee braces, wrist braces, slings, elastic bandages, and even finger splints. I never know from one day to the next which ones I'll be using that day. :)

Good luck!

Oouch, I'm sorry for your pain. I do have that happy to my spine and the grinding and slippage is scary. However, because I'm fat, I can't find a brace comfy enough that doesn't roll up or just hinder my breathing. I hope you find a way to get relief. Warm soaks and compresses and gentle, slow stretches.
ScaryAnn, sounds like you and I could start a pharmacy surgical supply company between us!! I have so many braces as you do that they take up two entire shelves in the linen closet!! Oh the crap we have to do.. LOL!!
Wishing you both a peaceful and less painful weekend. {{{Hugs}}}💕🙏🏻🌻😊
