Fibro and feet

Nov 11, 2016 8:06 PM

I have kind of a random question...I have fibromyalgia and over the past few months the pain has been getting worse. Lately, I feel like I can't even walk. I feel like the bottoms of my feet are covered in bruises and can hardly stand up. It's just so painful.

Anyone else have this problem?

I have the same pains mostly every morning I can't walk because the pain is so bad.

I have horrible pain & swelling in my feet the best way I can explain the pain is that it's a horrible cramping on the bottom of my feet. I also have fibromyaligia.I hope you find some relief soon

Thank you both for your input. I'm glad to know I'm not alone in this.

At times I walk like a penguin when my feet are really painful! I also have fibromyalgia. I laugh at myself which is better than crying! ☺️

Neuropathy could also cause that. I know several with fibro who have also been diagnosed with that.

I have small fiber neuropathy in my lower legs and feet. Lyrica helps with that some. It doesn't affect the bottom of my feet tho but I suspect it could. I have fibromyalgia.

I have pain at the bottom of my feet as well! My doctor says it is from my arthritis though, not fibro. I have psoriatic arthritis (without the psoriasis) which means my arthritis is in my ligaments and tissue rather than my bones of my joints -- so, my pain is in my joints AS WELL AS other places where ligaments are such as the bottom of my feet, etc.

I have a couple pair of compression sock I wear when my feet swell.they help with the swelling but I not sure about the pain.

I just get the "normal" cramps in my feet, but they burn all the time. I also have Fibro.

Memory foam slippers help. I even wear them to the grocery store. I am looking for a pair that has foam that doesn't go flat quickly. Bar stools in the kitchen let me work at the counter while sitting rather than standing. Bed bath and beyond has mats with memory foam for the kitchen. I put them on the floor and stepped on them in socks to test them. One of them is $50.00 but as soon as anyone with this painful feet problem steps on it, I Am sure you will agree the price is worth it.

I get that too! I was walking barefoot around the house but now I'm finding I need some cushiony slippers to walk without cringing. That's exactly how I have described how my feet feel too...walking with bruises all over the bottom of my feet. Get yourself some cushy slippers and put your feet up :)

I get that. I feel like I'm stepping down onto hundreds of straight pins. I use a wheelchair when it gets really bad.
