Fibro Flare

Dec 30, 2015 9:59 AM

Hey all, is it possible to be in a constant flare? I am on meds to help manage Fibro pain, but the fatigue has been heavy duty for a few months now. Previously, I only noticed flares in 2-3 week cycles. Now, it seems like the fatigue is permanent. Is that possible?

I've been in a flare for over 2 weeks. Hoping it eases for you soon. Not sure if they can last indefinitely, I sure hope not. Sending gentle {{{Hugs}}}💕🙏🏻🌻

Cajen, are you on Cymbalta by any chance? The reason I ask is that I was on it for 9-10 months. The first 6+ months I felt wonderful relief in the pain. Then I noticed the pain seemed to be getting worse, and I was most/depressed. By the time a doctor recognized I was having side effects from the cymbalta, another doc was referring me for a psych evaluation, thinking it was just in my mind. I hope you can find some reprieve soon. 🙂🙏🌼

Yes, yes I am. My MD said it should work for approximately 2 years, and then I'd most likely have to switch. Maybe that time frame has come early?

Well mine sure came early. I found out from the psychiatrist I was sent to for evaluation, when she had me do a spot test, that I have a genetic defect which affects my ability to process benzodiazepines and other antidepressants, which cymbalta is one of them. Go to drugs.com and check out cymbalta. Good luck! 🤒🙏🌼
