Fibro fog and fatigue

Feb 01, 2015 8:51 PM

I have been so easily exhausted the past 3 days. Just a few days before that I had that horrible migraine. The muscles in my legs & feet, and halfway down my arms are cramping awful bad tonight. Nothings helping and although I want to go to sleep I can't. Its time for a muscle relaxer since nothing else has worked. 😖

FlappsyLady, I'm so sorry yourehaving such a hard time.. I've been in a flare that I thought was over and had one decent day and back to really bad. I hope the muscle relaxant helps you get to rest your body and you're able to get some sleep. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Hi Flappy. You've had a lot of physical and emotional stress recently so maybe that is why your body is needing extra rest. I don't understand how one can be so tired and not be able to sleep. I am struggling through that right now. Very frustrating. I hope you can rest up this week and give your body what it needs!

Yes I thought about the stress, but I've been so relaxed for 5+ days (no nervous feeling). I have a chemical stress test tomorrow and I've developed another migraine. I can't use the meds because they told me to avoid aspirin and caffeine for 24 hours. Its making me nauseous!

Flap- you should look up "migraine trigger point areas and referred pain" and massage lightly a few times a day.

I'm 5 days now of pure fatigue. I get up and within 3 hours I begin to yawn and feel drained. I actually fell asleep at my preop today waiting to be called. (They're doing a cystouretheroscopy next week for the interstitial cystitis, and look for damage from previous surgery.) I'm actually staying more tired than usual, and more achy all over w/ tender points. Must be a fibro flare.

Ms. flappy, I think you're right and I'm not sure what part of the country are in but the weather makes a big difference for me… I've been I've lost the past weekto brain fog and fatigue.

When I say lost" I mean I don't know where the days went to- don't know what I've done, Or have difficulty remembering what the past week was all about.

I'm an "ADDer"-A person with ADHD – hyperactivity variant. I'm a tech geek, all things tech, but I really love my Apple Products,

Just to give you an idea of how bad it's been: I just got a new Apple iMac Computer and I also bought a new SSD drive for it--"super – speed drive" :-) no, really SSD stands for solid-state drive😜, but it's really fast⚡️
I'm going to upgrade my machine with this new SSD. (it's an older iMac). I've been so out of it that when I got home from the store I just laid on the bed and that was it…I don't know where the time went to. All I know is I've been asleep with wildly uncomfortable dreams, fitful sleep, Twilight sleep, full of pain and agony more praying more sleep wake up at 4 o'clock in the evening to o'clock in the evening –Messing up on everything I'm supposed to be keeping up with and taking care of…more fitful sleep &pain…

And guess what? I just installed Yosemite on my new SSD tonight – days after I purchased it. I haven't even opened up the machine and installed the drive-- I just put the operating system on the new drive and it's just plugged up by an external USB.

For all you people out there that are techies, I said all of that to say One of the most exciting things that I would want to do I haven't done because of the brain fog the pain the sleep and the loss of days and days of life.

So I too can truly relate.

Welcome to CMP site SufferINkind. I'm feeling like a cement block is on top of not shoulders across my back. I too feel like "where have my days gone?" Its frustrating, but I do what I can and no longer beat myself up for what/when I cant.

Hope you have your computer built soon. I use to know some tech stuff but not anymore. I do good to balance my checkbook. Lol

My fog is off the charts lately! I feel so stupid about it sometimes! Why do we actually get the fog? Also I started a flare yesterday. So far a manageable flare but I can't seem to find the time for self care because my day is full with clients!
