fibro or something else? cool wet sensation on head and shoulders

Nov 17, 2015 7:42 PM

I have been having new issue and this one is scary for me. Been having sore and pain on shoulders and down arms and hands. My fingers will lock up in morning and hurt. Painful to zip up coat, pull blankets up, open doors, seat belts, you get it. Well last several days been having cold numb wet sensations in head and now spreading down neck shoulders and arms. Face too. My daughter has MS and this is one of the things she had had. My niece has MSalso. It is not really a hereditary thing, but it is concerning. I was thinking the shoulder pain and down arms hands thing was either fibro or maybe a pinched nerve thing but this tingling cold sensation is freaking me out.

The other new fibro thing is these stabbing pains in head. Some come and go quickly and some more dull aches in side or back of head last a while.

My more usual "friends" (not!) Are fatigue, restless legs (bad), random pains all over, bad knees, low back hip pain (constant),tired muscles, generally feel like slogging thru jello most of the time, brain fog, say wrong words etc etc.

I would most gratefully appreciate some feed back on the cold, numb, sort of wavelike feeling that I been having. Is this a fibro issues or not?

Thank you for reading and also boy am I glad to have found this app!

Lisab528, I'm not sure what's happening. If your daughter had these symptoms you should see a doctor to be checked out. Hugs & saying a prayer for you! 🙏🌼

Hi Lisab528 I had neck surgery for 4 herniated discs about 2 months ago and before I decided to do so, most of my symptoms were actually those that you are experiencing... the numbness or weakness, the shooting pain down the arm, fingers losing grip and also towards the end before the surgery I did feel some of that wavy cold sensation down the back of my head and mostly on the left side which was where the nerves were pinched the most so if I were you I'd consider talking with your doctor for them to check into that, get some x-rays and MRI. Good luck, hugs.

My family doc referred me to neurologist. She thinks its either a cervical pinched nerve or possibly MS. She agrees that we need to do some testing to figure out what is going on.. Meanwhile keep on keeping on.. As I rode in car for a long drive, this evening I was contemplating how weird it is to just be me. During the ride random pings of pain nnumbness and cold spots wafted around and thru my body. Drills in my head, knives in my side and back, shooting stars in my fingers, zings in my toes, twinges in my back, aches in my hips. I picture the poor patient in that Operation game that lights up when the "doctor" touch's the sides as they try to remove the bone (?) From wherever. My body is lighting up kind of like that. If I could only get my hands on who's ever playing games with my body, I would give them a taste of their own D** tweezers! LOL... Ok enough philosophy for tonight.
