Not only am I struggling to sleep because of Fibromyalgia but I also have pain in my hips and knees. I had 1 hour 45 mins last night and have not yet been able to sleep tonight, however the less sleep I have the more awake I feel. Does anyone else have this illness, symptoms or sleep pattern?
Yes..I think most of us do in some form or another. I e got a cocktail of meds the Dr ordered that normally helps if I keep my.activity low. But on days like I've had the last few days its not been much good. Try meditation and deep breathing. I'll be honest on days like today when wearh is changing and I've over done it several days in a row. It dont really help but I do hope u find relief and get some sleep
I am bipolar. I don't know if that is the reason that I feel this way or not. But I understand what you are saying the more sleep you don't get, the more awake you feel. I am not sure if it is that way for everyone. Maybe just some people are that way. But one thing I do know from that, is when you finially try to make yourself get a good sleep, it is very hard. And you really crash. I usually feel better 20 hours later afire I just sleep and rest. But I can really appreciate what you are saying. Best wishes.
I get the pain alot I my knees and hips as well. It seems to increase at night. So from that I sometimes sleep maybe 2 hrs a night n then I think I will sleep good the following night, wrong I also seem to have more energy when I'm deprived of sleep. I take muscle relaxer, then if I'm getting alot of pain I found walking slow around the house or something helps sometimes. Also found journaling at night especially when in pain helps occasionally. Also sometimes I get in bath with Epsom salt or get in shower n let warm water run down on you. Also I started doing a heating pad fo my knees after get in bath, helps occasionally. Hope you get some relief so you geto some much needed rest and sleep
Thank you so much for your replies. The weather and daily activities do play a huge part in daily life. I am a Fibro warrior and fighter and cope quite well on the whole but we all have days where we have to hold up our hands and say it wins. Tomorrow is always a new day. By far the best thing I do is surround myself with things tht make me happy and positive. Take care guys sleep well and fight hard xxxx
Yes, I go through the bad sleep patterns with Fibro pain. My sleep is very light and restless. However unlike you with the burst of energy, I am extremely exhausted. It takes everything out of me to move. My body feels so heavy. Always feel like I have the flu. Yes. The weather affects my pain tremendously.
