Fibro spasm? Is that a thing?

Feb 14, 2018 1:35 PM

I came down the flu and fever since Friday.. do not seem to get better but feel these painful spasms down my legs and it’s on going wouldn’t stop. Does anyone with fibro have suffered these? I’m still trying to understand these symptoms but each time there are new things I experience and it’s making me so ill and I just want to stay in bed.

I have fibromyalgia and get spasms in my back. What I normally do is as soon as I feel the spasms(catching it early is key) I use a heating pad on the area that's spasming, and I take a cbd tincture. I also bought an off brand rapid release massager(I bought pure wave) you have to check what frequency the massager vibrates at though cause what makes these massagers stop spasms as opposed to a normal one is it vibrates at such a high frequency that it resets the muscles

Hey Jessie thank you I think I need to look into trying different things.. painkillers aren’t working and I still have not seen the doctor regarding this symptom now. They want to try all the test on me again apparently try an mot on me to see if all is in check. I’m going to look into the machine too. Thank you

Yes. I hate the spasms and I agree, the best thing I have found to reduce them is heat.

Hi everyone, I have fibro, cerebellar atrophy (ataxia), an inherited trait. Spasms are absolutely a part - huge part of my fibro. I get them everywhere & haven't found anything physically I've done to activate them. Especially in my back & inside rib cage. Luckily God waited til my boys were grown before I really started feeling it.
