Hola! I'm new here and new to share my health issues. I've been sick since i was 12, now i'm 43. First i deal with rheumatoid arthritis, located mostly in my knees (i had 12 surgeries on both of them). Now for a little more of a year i started having all kind of crazy simptoms that end up beeing fibromialgy! And really what a shock to learn that each day is worst thant the one before when you thought you couldn't bear to endure the level of pain and the suffering of your family seeing you suffer. But there are good things, like i hope this place is.
HOLA Mish 🌷 & welcome to the family. 😊Thank u for ur post! 🤗there are plenty of threads🐫 to read up on...🌻 if it applies to u... 🐪or just a few fun ones 🐴thrown into the mix... (cos im in pain...😶 im not dead!)...😁to make u giggle... so watch out... 📖i have a "naughty book"... 🌷and u may become a tena lady 🐌by the end of the week!😉
Welcome to our community family Mamish! You'll find lots of support here! We laugh, was cry, we vent, we pray or provide positive thoughts & energy, and we never judge each other. We all get enough of that outside the community family.
I'm 54 with fibro and a long list of other chronic pain causing conditions. I'm recuperating from neck surgery do it's taking me days to catch up with all the posts. Even on bad days I try to find something to be positive about our laugh at. Lulabel is very helpful with the laughter. And her smile is what they call an "infectious" smile, it rubs off on others. Hugs love and prayers as you settle in and find new ways to cope! 🙂💕🙏🌸
Thank you so much flappylady and siren!!!!!!!!! It really is a relive to know that i'm not alone. I'm blessed by the husband and family that i have, but pain is so subjective, plus the heat/cold waves, the fybro fog, not been able to wear anything because of the burning pain, and so on so on....... they try but only someone that has been there can truly understand. Thanks for beeing there!! I'm also here for all you😊😊
Hello!! You mentioned the "not being able to wear anything" and it reminded me of a recent experience. I was having a high pain day and my clothes were driving me crazy! My husband got home and found me in a bad way, the house a mess and all four kids cranky. He turned straight around and left! I was not impressed. Ten minutes later he's home with pizzas and breadsticks and soda. He settles the littles in with a new movie, helps me upstairs to our room and locks the door. Then he says, with waggling eyebrows, "Let's make the most of this flare. I'm thinking this calls for naked movie night!" I laughed so hard! And what a wonderful naked movie night it was!!
*As a side note, this success was due in large part to the 1500 thread count sheets I have. They are amazing and well worth it for anyone with sensitive skin. I ordered them off Amazon and they were less than $30 for a California King size set. Even on my worst days these sheets never feel scratchy.
Fatiguedfighter, how lucky you are to have such a loving and supporting husband! I win the lottery too with mine, thank God!!! I too have been changing my sheets, pillows and pjs for softer ones. Anything than can help get throught a bad or even a good day, means the world
