Finally a diagnosis

Nov 26, 2015 11:45 AM

Finally I have a diagnosis for my condition-Fibromyalia
My doctor is going to write to the team who deal with it and I will hear from them.
My kidneys have shown up on blood test so have to have a follow-up one tomorrow afternoon.
I am relieved to finally have this confirmed as I tried to tell my old GP that I had this but she wouldn't listen. My new diagnosed it after I asked to swap doctors.

I am happy that you are finially going to get the help you need by your diagnosis. I posted a note about free Lyrica. If you need to get access to that from the Pfizer company, I can send you a link. They even provide it to people who have large copays

Well,
Thank God you can now rest easy knowing what the problem is. Now, you need to adjust to the "new normal" and adjust your activity according to how you're feeling. Know that you've got your pain family by your side to guide you through and give you hands to hold when you need them. Hang in there. Sending gentle {{Hugs}} and prayers.🌻🙏🏻

Lyrica is a treatment for Fibromyalgia. Not trying to be a drug pusher :-)

I was prescribed Gabapentin by my Neurologist back in September but was only given to me by my old GP two weeks ago.

@Calia, I'm so happy for you that you finally got a diagnosis, I know for me before my diagnosis I felt like I was crazy and that people saw me as a hypochondriac wich is funny because I always kept my pain to myself. I also stay in pain and keep going at that time but over the years my health and my pain has gotten worse, so much so that I can't hide it anymore nor can I just always keep going. We are all here for you to listen and support you in any possible way. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Many blessings sent your way.

Welcome fellow fibromite!

Calia, I'm glad you finally know what you are dealing with. Now you can focus on adjusting activities and pacing yourself so you don't have too many flares. My PCP recently took me off tizanidine, for my tremors, because it wasn't helping. He put me on gabapentin for the fibromyalgia neuropathies, and so far it's working well. Hopefully you will have good results too. (((Hugs))) & prayers! 🙏🌼
