Finally Believed

Feb 14, 2016 9:20 AM

After over a year of trying to get through to my doc, after two Rheumies blew me off, after a pain clinic that was mostly crappy, my GP now believes what I've been trying tell him. That something's very wrong. He believes me now because my fingers turned blue in front of him. Almost a year ago I asked to see an internist, doc said the internist wouldn't be interested in seeing me. Now he's asked me to see one. I've also requested to see an opthalmologist and he's sending me. He's diagnosed me with Raynaud's. I also suspect I gave lupus and sjogrens. It's just so nice to be believed and have my GPs backing. Not only that my GP said and I quote, "We just don't know everything about this kind of thing." He couldn't have said anything better to me. I thanked him for that more than once.
I'm scared about what diagnosis I'll get but at least I have my docs backing. Such relief!

Thank you so much. All that to say to others don't give up when they don't believe you. We know our bodies better than they do. :)

Gibber!! There is such a relief when you finally walk into that one doctor's office and not only do they listen but they actually believe what you are telling them. With invisible diseases and syndromes that we suffer, validation is a HUGE thing for us all. To finally be believed that it's not "all in your head". I'm glad for you and pray that the doctors that you are sent to do their due diligence and take the time to run appropriate tests and find the reason for your pain. Sending you {{{Hugs}}} and prayers that you can now have less stressful days and finally get your diagnosis.💕🙏🏻🌻
