Morning everyone, MRI came back negative this morning other then for some enlarged vertebrae. No herniation, no pinched nerves, nada. Being referred out for interventional pain medicine for possible epidural cortisone injections. Surgeon was actually in a wonderful mood this morning which was amazing. So, there's where we stand so far.
Amanda, I know it is really frustrating when you have such problems with the tests coming back negative when something is really wrong. I went through that for several years. I am glad to hear that the surgeon was in a good mood. The last thing you need is to deal with an attitude coming at you when you're in pain. I am glad that you are finally referred off to pain management and then they will be able to do more for you and hopefully bring your pain levels down.
Alwayz, I am so glad he did as well. I did not need that negativity either. We shall see how this goes, but he did say keep going with the physical therapy for core strengthening. Well, I'm headed off to the surgeon in a bit, not that I want to.
Amanda, You will hopefully get good results from the ESI's. My C7-T1 has flared up again and so has my lumbar... 17 months after my last ESI. Each area was treated with 3 ESI's, about 4-6 weeks apart. Praying you get good relief. Mind you, I do get flare up pain due to the fibromyalgia. And I learned last week my Sjogrens is also partially responsible for pain. My ESI's and Tens unit together worked better than the tramadol. 🙏🌼
