Finaly beginning to get the pieces together

Feb 22, 2017 6:44 AM

Finaly a doctor who pulls the strings together.
Today I had an appointment with a dermatologist. She looked at all my rashes and took some photos. And for once (!) my butterfly-looking rash didn't dissappear before an appointment.
This dermatologist called the superior dermatologist to look at me. She wanted the superior dermatologist to check the rashes and a discoloured toe.
The conclusion was that this might be lupus and/or sjogrens syndrom and the discoloured toe might be from raynauds syndrome.
Before I could go I took some new bloodwork for ANA and some more lupus related tests.

The results and conclusion will be sent to the rheumatologist I am going to see in may..
It feels good to know that someone finaly sees the problem and believes what I am telling them.

Hello IceAki. I'm glad you had a good doctor appointment. It's always nice when that works out. I hope you have a less pain free day.

IceAki hi

I feel some type of relief for hearing from a specialist that this is actually something.

My fiancé on the other hand react in a much different way.. He is scared. He cried today and I asked if it was something I could do to make him feel better. His answer was "please don't have lupus"(he does not know anything about lupus other that it is a serious condition) and the next thing he said after a short break "I don't want to loose you". He is really emotional about me being sick, because of several experiences where they was not sure I was going to make it..
I used the rest of the day to calm him down..

How did any of yours family and/or partner react?

I am glad you found someone that listens and observes your symptoms. That search is exhausting. Keeping the appointments going is time consuming. Blessings!
