First real pain

Aug 09, 2019 3:49 AM

I've had my share of aches and pains before, from headaches to menstrual cramps to stomachaches but I think they're better because I can manage them well and I know that they will be gone in a day or two. Recently, I have been experiencing these upper back pains that radiate towards my upper chest. I have been feeling them for 5 days now. I'm so scared to go to the doctor for fear that there might be something wrong with me. I'm planning to work abroad and I don't want whatever condition I have to hinder my dreams. I just really hope this would go away soon. But couldn't help being worried, anxious and scared. I think my anxiety is even making my pain worse.

Clairedelune08, is the pain wrapping around both sides or just one side? There are several possibilities that could be the cause, like a pulled back muscle that wraps around to the chest, a pinched disc/nerve causing muscle spasms, costochondritis (inflammation of tissue between the ribs), gallbladder, and yes even your heart. But with the symptoms having gone on this long you need to see a doctor to make sure it's nothing serious. You don't want to be overseas or in transport and something medically serious happen, like a gallbladder rupturing or a heart attack. Please go see a doctor asap! Hugs love & prayers you find it's not a major problem and can get relief! 🙂❤🙏🌼

@clairedelune08 did you get any help? Did you see a doctor?
To me, it sounds like it could be as simple as a pulled muscle, weak muscle, pulled /pinched nerve, or slightly more serious as heartburn/reflux. But I would absolutely not depend on the internet. See a doctor. Women are known to present with heart issues in very strange ways, so it'd be good to rule that out, as well as any other things that can be actually dangerous to ignore.
If you're concerned enough to be asking in the internet, I feel that you should see a doctor.
