Welcome tami4870! Here you'll track your daily pain and post topics or responses to other's topics. There's good advice, as well as just being a place to vent frustration safely, give a high-five, woo-hoo improvement, ask for prayer, etc. Everyone here is helpful & friendly.

Hi Tami & welcome! Wish we were all welcoming you to a site that's more like "So you live in Paradise & ice cream takes OFF the pounds", but alas, it's a group about pain (& sometimes poop).

Knowing there are others out there in the same basic situation I'm in helps me get through the day. I love all the names they have like "brain fog" & "pain brain". I actually used them at my social security hearing.

I hope you find some comfort here. This is the one place where not only do I find acceptance, but also humility. No matter how bad I THINK I have it, there is always, ALWAYS someone who has it worse, & somehow they are always grateful anyway.

So, I wish I were honestly glad you're here (none of us wishes our pain on anyone else) but I'm glad you've found a place to belong.

Tami, I suffer from the same. Its so embarrassing sometimes. Luckily my husband and son have become real good at 'translating' and playing charades with me lol. When I am on the phone with someone other than family or when I'm out in public--it's when it's embarrassing. I think the meds I'm taking for pain make it worse but I don't want to give those up as they have improved my quality of life. We might have to get used to it if possible, though I don't know if that's realistic. At least we are not alone!
