Never used this before, recent diagnosis after 10 years of trying. But recently been referred to pain association Scotland, does anyone have experience with this? Did it help?

Welcome to our community family Dorybrain! I have fibro, sjogrens, hypothyroidism, dementia/memory loss, DDD, OA and many other chronic pain issues. I've spent the last 6 years accepting my whole health situation and trying to find ways to cope and still enjoy life. Today I'm having a very base stress day and can't think of suggestions. But I'm sure you'll hear from others soon. Hugs love and prayers you'll get the support and coping methods you need! πŸ™‚πŸ’•πŸ™πŸŒΈ

Oh. That's different than the pain clinic I go to here. Mine will try different things to help us reach a place where the pains tolerable. They have done trigger point injections, epidural and .. I forget the name - they have gone in to burn the nerves in the areas most painful. They also prescribe my pain medication.

I think I would have to be referred to the doc for all that and they are quite stingy and rarely believe the severity of the pain, hence why it took so long to get to this point.

Sounds like your pain clinic is much more helpful.

The one I had in Fargo was awful. I still laugh because he sent me to a psych doctor... Saying depression was my problem. The Psych doctor told me and sent him.a letter stating that if he would treat my pain I wouldn't be dealing with depression. He was not impressed when I have him the note. Never went back. So there my Rheumatologist treated my pain issues. Here in Arkansas I have the pain clinic, my primary doctor, my Rheumatologist and up until this wreck I had a Neurologist. Each treated a different issue I was dealing with but keep in touch of what's going on with each Dr.
