first visit with disability attorney

Apr 01, 2016 4:01 PM

Met for the first time with a disability attorney to get the process started.
Very overwhelming and stressful.
Mound of paperwork to fill out, must contact ss to fill out application online.
Lots of doctor appts ahead, test.
Must see if the doctor will fill out disability forms. They say some wont do it. If the doctor will, this increased your chances greatly of getting approved the first round.
they say 99% get denied the first time. Thats a let down.
But, the attorney I spoke with said after reading my conditions, symptoms and line of work, that she thinks I have a very good shot at getting approved the first time.
If your considering taking the disability step, be ready to commit to a full time job to try and get it done.

You are allowed to still work part time as long as you make no more than 1000.00 month.
But, this could hurt your chances of approval.

Have a great day everyone, keep me in your thoughts for a good outcome.

not real encouraging, but hopefully I'll be ok.
