I have been flares for twelve days now. It has attacked my back, ribs, Legs and foot. I desperately wanted.to call in sick for work today. I went in and was miserable, tomorrow if I an bad I am not going in. Hoping to get injections soon. I only do them when I need them. And I need them! How does everyone deal with missed days from work due.to pain? I am starting to loose a lot of hope. Last night I was crawling to the bathroom crying when I sat on the toilet and vomiting from pain, also had a hard time sleeping as I was in pain. I just could use some support. I look forward to getting to know everyone as this is my first post. I am new to the fibro diagnosis still completely confirming it. Have been in constant back pain for 15 months.
Hello darling, welcome to the community! 💙💐 Very sorry to hear your flare is so bad. I'm flaring atm as well. Everything hurts to touch me. What things do you try for pain management? I find it can help me if I can get the bath water the right temperature I minimize the flare for the time I am in the bath. Lots of Epsom salts. You can also add baking soda (iIhaven't done that yet but I've heard it works really well) and/or essential oils. Do you responded better to heat or cold? I do better with warmth so I find my softest layers and blankets to cuddle with. Often times to best way to deal with the pain is do the things that make you the most comfortable and relaxed. Doesn't take it away but it helps get you through it. I really hope your flare ends soon. Take a day from work may give your body the rest it needs for the flare to go down. Take it really easy and minimize your stress. I hope it ends soon my dear. I can't take it away but I can tell you you're not alone. Warm wishes of love and healing to you 🐘🌹💖
I can't get into the bath tub at the moment. I am that bad. And I live alone. I usually prefer heat but will also do cold as it super nimbs it. I am on a lot of pain meds for everything and been having to double up as nothing is comfortable. My bra today drove me nuts. My work I am constantly running around so that. Ant be good for pain. I am hoping to get in in to the doc. Soon for my sciatic injections.
Have you tried acupuncture? I had a month long migraine and even after injections in the back of my.neck it didn't go away. The acupuncture helped calm me, it was a very relaxing experience, and it helped my muscles release and stop pulling on the joints. I know it one of those typical questions but I know a lot of people tend to get a little nervous about the idea of needles which is understandable I personally hate them. In one session I had 15 needles in me (1 in each side of my check for TMJ) and I just talked away the whole time, almost fell asleep at one point.

Welcome WorryWart82590! I'm sorry you're in such a severe flare. Maybe you should take off tomorrow and call your PCP, or whichever doc you see for the pain control. Maybe the pain specialist could get you in tomorrow if someone has cancelled. ((Hugs)) & I'll say a prayer for you, that the flare eases up! 🙏🌼
