Flares and Weather

Sep 18, 2015 10:42 AM

For a week I had really weird symptoms. It dawned on me yesterday that they were likely preludes to an oncoming flare. It hit yesterday like a Mack truck and I'm the same today; literally weighed down & exhausted just going to the bathroom or fixing a sandwich. I ache all over, deep aches, with child but higher than my normal temperature. I feel weak as a baby and my joints hurt. My tremors are worse too.

I know we have all discussed weather's affect on our symptoms. Curiously, I'm wondering if the moon's phases do too. Our weather has been beautiful all week; sunny to partly cloudy with some drizzles, 80s highs & 58-69 lows; not my typical flare weather. We had a new moon on 13th, and a waxing crescent until the 21st when it changes to a first quarter. I started with my symptoms on 12th.

Is the moon connected? I don't know, but I'm sure going to track it with the widget I downloaded. I know the million can affect my migraines and vertigo. 🙏🌼

From some of the things I've read, I do believe the moon's phases can impact our symptoms. I've read where so many people (women) will flare just before, during, or just after "that time of the month". Joints can even become "looser" for some women around that time, and most women cycle with the moon phases.

Keep us posted on what you discover with your experiences, I, for one, am very interested.

Flappsy, I am so sorry you are in a flare, my friend. I think that you are right about the moon. I've been noticing that myself the last couple of cycled but thought I was just imagining it. I am in a flare and haven't slept. I was up all night, fell asleep about 8am and woke at 8;45. I am almost drunk feeling. I think that it's going to finally hit me and I will sleep for hours (hopefully). I pray that your flare subsides quickly and you get back to a manageable pain level and get some rest. Sending you hugs, my friend. Feel better.💕🙏🏻🌻

Million = moon

Dbgiggles, it sounds like you had migraine or vertigo symptoms. My pharmacist said the moon affects him with both. But who knows, we may find a connection with the fibro. I'll be charging here. I feel work out, wedding out, & thrown out tonight. Hope everyone has a hold night, especially you AlwayZ... You're running on empty! 🙏🌼

Wow at the typos in that last post... Sorry auto correct did that. I think I meant to say... I'll be charting here. I feel worn out, wrung out, & thrown out. Hope everyone has a good...

I'm in a full blown flare today. I'm at a 9.99% + pain or worse, and definitely the highest in a long time. Normally being a 7-8 at my worst, this really sucks! I woke up so stiff from my neck to my toes, I can barely walk using two canes. The air blowing on me hurts like never before, but it's too warm to cut it off.

My dad showed up unexpectedly, and I could see the shock and concern on his face. Living over an hour away we don't usually visit without calling & planning ahead, so I've done pretty well at hiding my worst days from him (I knew it would upset him and it did, his own health is enough for him to bear). I hurt all over with a deep agonizing boring pain, to the core of my bones and whole body, muscles, joints and all. If I had a headache and sore throat I'd swear I had the flu, but I don't. It's a full raging flare. The pain & stiffness is out of bounds for me, the worst flare I've had in over a year!

I know we've been discussing weather and flares, and they're saying this winter will be colder and wetter. I just hope this flare isn't a taste of what's to come!

Wishing everyone a beautiful & blessed, less stressed Sunday! 🙏🌼
