For SCS patients

Nov 13, 2016 10:13 AM

The idea of SCS is more interesting to me than worrying about surgery. I cannot afford to be tied up in recovery for months.

I would be very grateful if people are willing to share their journey to get SCS treatment (specialists they saw, experiences they endured).

I get the impression there are more hoops to jump through and I do not want to keep getting prescription pain meds.

BackFog, what does SCS stand for?

Nov 16, 2016 11:28 AM

Backfog, a spinal cord stimulator IS surgically implanted into the epidoral space of your spine.. it IS surgery!!! It's not pleasant either.. I've had it done 5 times and am about to have major cervical surgery done to "fix" some issues and get another stim. (I'll have to go for 2 trials as I'm having dual leads for cervical and thoracic areas).

How did the SCS trials go? Did it help

Jun 09, 2017 10:11 PM

My mother went through SCS trials, and has now had her permentant one for about 7 years. She is horrible at charging it up, but when she does have it charged, it really helps. It's something I'm going to start looking into for the future
