Free from urologist for another YEAR!!!!! YEEHAA!!!!!

Was having a mediocre night last night. Have been in super flare mode for the last 2 days. Actually had a decent appointment this afternoon. He actually listened to what I said, which is nice. He actually was happy that we were trying pelvic floor therapy so hopefully he will be speaking to the gyn this week possibly. Just waiting for that to happen. He added a low dose of Elavil to help with the nerve pain that I'm feeling at this point. And yes, I went in that appointment completely without pain medications so that he could see me at my worst, which today has truly been the worst in a LONG time. Looks like I might be due for another cystoscopy next year along with lab work. YAY, note the sarcasm!!!!!!!
But unfortunately, I'm not free from the surgeon yet. I have an abscess on my butt, which is too deep for her to go after right now. But if it comes to a head, I've been instructed to come back to them. Will probably require intervention in the operating room because of the sensitive nature of where it is. But such is life right now. Just a waiting game but I'm quite used to it. Not going to stress about it at this point.
Needing to go lay down NOW as I've been sitting too long this morning and that makes my pain completely worse.
I'm also hoping the Elavil helps me to SLEEP and can get this pain to quiet down already!!!!!!

I know what a relief that feels like...yay!!! I'm sorry to hear about the new abscess but hopefully it can be dealt with early. You get some rest and try to get your flare under control. Hopefully the Wellsville will be just what you need. Hugs & love & prayers! πŸ™‚πŸ’•πŸ™πŸŒΌ

Flappy, at this point, I'm also electing NOT to go forward with the script for vaginal Valium, as the Elavil might just do the trick instead. It's worth a shot for me at this point. Hopefully, I can ask them to communicate with each other at this point, between the uro and the gyn because it's actually a combination of issues that causing the spasms. Today is a progress note day for PT so I will make sure that gets communicated at this point. Although I did in passing, mention that to the urologist but not sure if it got heard or not. We shall see.

Well, looks like I'll be calling the urologist back this morning. Psychiatrist said she doesn't feel comfortable with me being on both Inderal and Zoloft along with the Elavil. So either the dose has to be altered or we've got to come up with something else. Sigh!!!!

Hopefully it will be an easy solution

I think we've got it situated right now. They realized that Oops, there was a problem with that. Urologist graciously called in a script for Vistaril instead of the Elavil. Should work just fine. And I've been on Vistaril before with absolutely no issues so again, shouldn't be a problem there as well.
