Friendly Advice on Lyrica

Sep 22, 2015 11:14 PM

Does anyone have any friendly advice on taking Lyrica? My doctor put me on Lyrica for my fibromyalgia. My body pain is not getting any better. I know everyone is different when taking medication but I just want to see what people experience with this medication good and bad. Thank you.

Thank you debswilts for your response. I've been suffer with pain in my back for a long time but it's more for the pain throughout my body. Sometimes is uncontrollable I just want to scream, so I start to clean. The more I move the pain calms down a little but I can not sleep. Last night I had one of those nights I finally was able to fall a sleep a little after 3 am. I take Marinol but it doesn't take away all the pain away. I'm really hoping the Lyrica helps me, any help is better than nothing at all.

It works for me with stabbing nerve pain associated with fibromyalgia Doesn't eliminate it totally but i sure know about it if I forget it. 150 mg in the morning and at night

I took Lyrica/Pregabalin when Gabapentin / Neurontin stopped working to treat my neuropathy. I don't have Fibro, but had to come off Lyrica v because it turned me into a silent zombie. I couldn't think, felt better every time it wore off, and had increased swelling. I was just on a trial dose.

Lyrica has worked a little bit for me, but percocet added with it helps. I'm also on non-narcotic pain meds. Good luck.
